Looking at a new bike and wanting something that I can use with two wheel sets for road and gravel. Since I’m probably 90% road, I’d rather prioritize that, so don’t want an actual gravel bike.

The Synapse is pretty much the best bet for that, but I’d want to set it up with a 1x13 XPLR group, and there’s no way I’m buying the stock LAB71 with Red, and the only available frame set being LAB71 is also a bummer. Has anyone here bought a lower spec (like the Carbon 5), stripped it down, and re-built with 13 speed? I don’t see why it wouldn’t work, but curious if anyone else has done so.

Hello all, I have a kind of funky build in mind that I’d love to run by you.

I’m trying to build an ideal do-it-all bike, and love the Domane. The problem is, I also really want to run a 1x13 SRAM XPLR group set (either Rival or Force). The carbon Domane sadly isn’t UDH-compatible yet, but I saw the current AL model is. Now I’m thinking I could get an AL 2, strip it down and re-build it with the new group set. Has anybody done this? I feel like it’s a bit out there, but could be a really unique build.
