Pelvis small/ average for vaginal delivery?

Hello everyone,

Currently 37w+4d, till now I’ve had a normal textbook “boring” pregnancy and have been preparing for vaginal delivery since 32 weeks, been doing the exercises my physio recommended and perinial massages 3 times a week for the past 3 weeks.

Had a pelvic exam today and the doc said my pelvis is small/average and have only a 50 percent chance of vaginal delivery. She mentioned she was looking at an 80/20 percent chance for a vaginal/c section delivery first.

I am going to be admitted on the 20th as per my doctor’s recommendation. She mentioned I’ll be induced and go through labour and vaginal delivery process first and if needed a c section.

My thought process is, if I need a c section I’d rather not go through labour and get a scheduled c section than go through hours of it for nothing, I don’t want to have a traumatic birth and want to prioritise my mental health.

I’m fully torn on what to do, should I go through an induction? Or a schedule c section? My doc wants me to try to breastfeed within the golden hour and heard that can be difficult with a c section.

I’ve also heard recovery is more difficult in a c section.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Is this normal?

My kittens Auggie (orange) and Tinku (Calico) always “play fight” like this, they get kinda aggressive and last week auggie pushed Tinku from the bed and Tinku got an incomplete fracture, she’s much better now but they cry a lot when separated, then play fight like this when they are reunited, is this normal?

Bijili, my sweet baby, around 1.2 years old, passed away today morning. She a part indoor - outdoor cat, became very attached to my family after she gave birth to three kittens around 5 weeks back.

She was fine yesterday night. She nursed her kittens today morning and then refused to eat any food or drink water and became very lethargic, we took her to the vet and the doc said she has anemia and was hypo calciumic, she was very dehydrated so they put her on iv fluids and tried to take blood test but were unable to. She started breathing very heavily and through her mouth and was salivating a lot.

Her temp was not going up and kept getting low. She passed away around 1 hour after we took her to the vet.

Since she was an outdoor cat the doc said she may have injected poison as well. They gave her IV calcium but she didn’t get better.

My husband is worried about me as I’m currently 5 months pregnant, I can’t help but think if there’s something I could’ve done.

She’s left three beautiful kittens behind and we want to adopt atleast one of them.

Bijili, was very soft and loved by everyone in my family, she will truly be missed.

Sleep well, my little angel, you were very loved, I’m sorry I couldn’t save you. 💔
