A hidden gem: Northwest Natura offers affordable outdoor workshops for adults interested in plants, mushrooms, wildlife, wildcrafting, and survival skills (and more!)

This weekend: Saturday she’s leading a wildcrafting workshop on traditional bone arrowheads, cordage and archery for beginners and intermediates. 5 spots left.
Sunday: a captivating and interactive field trip focused on learning names and ethnobotany of trees. 6 spots left (on sale for $35)

Every weekend there’s a new opportunity to learn something about the Salish Sea or improve your self-reliance skills.

Jazmen is known for making classes memorable and fun for adults. Her background is in evolution, ecology and organismal biology with an emphasis on the Salish Sea Bioregion (plants, mushrooms, marine science, ethnobotany). She is a former professional botanist and ecologist, has substituted at WWU teaching Mycology (bio452), and former board member (multiple positions) for the Washington Native Plant Society (Bellingham chapter), and is certified in Level 3 Wildlife Track & Sign in NW WA.
