5070 for $600 a good buy?

Managed to snag it but I rewatched a few videos shitting on it when Nvidia said 5070=4090 performance which we all knew it's not the case however I'd like to know those that have own a 5070 how it's performed? This would be replacing a 3070ti.

Got this 14th Gen workstation from an auction and the psu is making slight clicking sounds. Video of it below with sound. I've never had a psu that makes sounds (other than fans burring) and the pc is under warranty thru HP but not sure how it works as I'm not the original purchaser of the product?

This post may be entirely counterproductive to this sub but I bought a 5700x3d 2 years ago for $275AUD whilst I was deep in the sauce of gaming. Life has got in the way and I no longer game the amount I used to and likely for the next year or so. I've been building computers for my kids and keeping an eye on FBMP and have seen cheap Ryzen 3800's for under $100 and other asking for $500 for a 5800x3D. I see an opportunity to downsize as I did previously have a 5700x and did not notice much of a performance increase on my 75hz 1440p ultrawide but have since obtained a 165hz 1440p ultrawide.

Has there been anyone here that went from 3800x to a 5700x3d/5800x3d that can comment on your performance increase?

Hoping that when I eventually get back into gaming that AI is dead and DDR5/DDR6 is easily accessible.
