Should I upgrade my 1080 Ti or keep pushing it?
Still getting decent frame rates on most stuff but I'm noticing 1440p is getting a bit rough in newer games. The jump to a 4070 or even 4070 Super seems massive in cost though. Is it actually worth it?

Don’t know to much about pc building but i’ve done a lil research and have been able to put this together, just looking for and tips about possible changes and such the only parts im truly set on is the case and cpu cooler but ye
the budget dont really have one per say but also not trying to buy parts that have very much equal counterparts and are more reasonable in price and of course it’ll be used for gaming
I'm currently picking between two PC's from PCCG, the one I want to buy isn't in stock and is more expensive but it's the colors I want and has a much better placement of it's power button/usbs for my desk
But at the same time, those things aren't reeeeally that important and the other PC has an actual date for when I can buy it
I have started pc shopping with all the EOFY sales and have found 2 deals that interest me with Nebula Pc’s and was stuck between which is the best option and if it’s worth it so was just looking for a bit of assistance making the decision.
Hello, my 9070xt Gigabyte OC from mwave just came today and I have a feeling its been opened before.
there's no seal stickers on the outer box
there is cardboard instead of styrofoam
the most sus thing is the yellow "gigabyte qualified" stickers. They seem like they've been taken off then put back on.
Please let me know if this is normal or not
Thank you
Hey everybody, for the past 4 years I've been playing on a beat up laptop and I want to have my own gaming pc. Unfortunately, im a complete noob at this stuff and have tried to research different specs and have even tried to find prebuilts. Alot of people have told me to stay away from prebuilts.
Could anyone send me a reasonable pc build ranging within $1000-$1200 AUD (Australian dollars). Most of the games I play are typically fps games, such as Valorant, Fortnite, COD, overwatch, DBD etc. I want it to last me for awhile. Doesn't have to be pretty, just functional and gain scrap atleast more than 100+ fps. Thanks
Hi there everyone,
I just bought my first custom pre built gaming PC from Nebula and it’s housed in a Nebula N5 mATX case. I’ve plugged in my wired Bose QC into the top earphone jack (top of the PC case), the audio works great but the I can’t get the mic to work.
I’ve tried to plug in the back as well, but the headphones don’t have a splitter cable. I’ve also tried plugging it directly in to my Asus TUF vg27aqm5a monitor’s headphone jack and it still doesn’t work.
What am I doing wrong here?
Thank you in advance for your help :)
Ive found a pc with an i7-4790, 1650, 16gb of DDR3, and a 512 HDD, for $400 AUD is that a good deal and what would that enable me to play nowadays? would it be worth upgrading the cpu, mobo, and ram? how much should i spend on that upgrade? I want to stay at around $600 max, could i get a decent cpu/ram upgrade for around that $200 extra?
Not sure what rule 3 means by no price checks, sorry in advance if me asking if this is a good deal breaks that rule.
So I just today received a PC I bought from Nebula PC. I was excited to get home and set it up but it has been nothing but a nightmare.
First, it will sometimes just not boot up, it sometimes requires me to power cycle it just to get it to get to my Home Screen.
After this I found that windows is not activated, and I had checked the listing multiple times and it states that it comes with Windows 11 Home (Activated) and there is no product key anywhere (I am waiting on a reply from their support to do with this).
Next issues is I got to download Steam, and I get the steamui.dll issue, I then get this file and now either steam won’t open at all, or the installer just stops and also won’t open for it. I have not been able to get steam to work yet.
I have also downloaded Razer Synapse for my keyboard and it won’t get past 30% installed.
The only successful install I have had is Google Chrome, and that has only been partially successful as my extensions keep constantly being “corrupt” and needed to be repaired every time I open chrome.
Does anyone have any ideas what may be wrong/any advice?
Edit:
- Did a fresh install of windows, worked amazing until I restarted the PC and then again met with a black screen after the user login.
- I have done every troubleshooting tip I have been able to come across and I still can’t seem to get it to work properly, so it looks like once they reply to my email (probably not until Monday 🥲) I’ll be sending it back.
Hello, I am planning on switching from a mini to a full tower. Is this PC a good start to upgrade later? I will use it to play strategic map games and city builders such as CK3, HOI4, Cities: Skylines II, and some CS: GO and Minecraft. I don't play AAA games as I have an Xbox Series X.
Budget: $1.3k to $1.5k AUD
I want to upgrade my setup, Im currently playing on an old ass tv and a ps4, i was thinking of buying a ps5 but i feel like if im spending that money i might as well put it towards a pc. A build that i have made is around $1300 but its an am4 build with a ryzen 5 5600 and a 9060xt. Another build i have is an am5 build at around 16-1700 dollars with a ryzen 5 7500f instead. both have 16gb of their dedicated ram. What would be a good upgrade, buyijg the ps5 for around 300-500 bucks used or saving for the pc. I cant seem to get any good deals on used parts on ebay or marketplace as most of the stuff i find cost more than retail. The games i mainly will be playing is minecraft, and some story games, and gta 6 when it drops.
Hi Guys, just ordered my first gaming PC from Nebula and was wondering if you guys had any recommendations for stands to reduce dust and help airflow.
My bedroom is carpet so don’t want it directly on that.
Thanks :)
Hey team, hoping for some advice regarding my first gaming PC.
I purchased the ozbargains Astyrx deal from Nebula (photo provided of parts).
As anticipated everything is quite delayed due to supply issues, but they have offered substitutions to speed up the process; the new parts substituted would be:
- SSD substitution to the KLEVV CRAS C925G 1TB
- PSU substitution to the XPG KYBER 850W
- Complimentary RAM upgrade to the KLEVV FIT V 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz CL28 DDR5 - Black
I'm wondering if these are relatively like for like substitutions and if I should accept the offer or wait for the original parts.
Any help is greatly greatly appreciated 🙏🙏🙏
Hi yall, my set up right now is the ryzen 5 5600, an amd 9060xt 16gb and a 2k oled monitor. I just upgraded both the gpu and monitor in recent sales, so i am also looking for any available upgrade for my ryzen 5 5600? I bought this one like 3 years ago and it carried me till today. I play both AAA and competitive fps game. Any recommendations on what cpu i should upgrade to? I searched some 5700x3d and 5800x3d but the price is a bit concerning…
Hello! I was looking to get a high end EOFY build and was wondering where I can get the best deal on a PC with the following components. Use case is heavy 3d work and unreal engine.
R9 9950x3d
Rtx 5080
64gb ram
2TB storage
I know it’s a big ask, but is there a way to get a computer with the above specs under 5k AUD, keeping in mind EOFY deals? Also, how much worse would an rtx 5070 ti be for my use case.
(I am in Melbourne, Australia)
So my birthday is coming up and I have been planning and saving up for my birthday which I plan to have my first main pc. With the price increase of ram and ssds, im not sure as to how to buy my pc. Whether to buy it second hand from fb marketplace , watch ozbargain deals and try to buy the parts and build it myself or buy a prevuilt on sale. My budget is 2.5k and I want the most value for my pc. However I am willing to extend my budget to another 1500 dollars after my birthday. perhaps for a gpu like the 5080. I just wanted to get some opinions on how I should go on about getting the most value for my budget on my pc and make it futureproof to some extent. Is it worth it to wait past august. I have already waited thru eofy which was kind of a bust but i did miss some good cpu deals.
For context , I plan on mainly playing competitive games as well as casual story mode games. I have 2 oled monitors (which i may have to sell atp 😅) that are both 360hz 1440p . Let me know if a pc build under 3k (no gpy) can handle tasks such as streaming aswell as running games smoothly at that resolution and framerate.
(with a 5080)
Hey everyone,
Just got around to finally building a new build. Put it all together, am happy with the cable management as I've never bothered before.
However, when I put my 5070 Ti in and hooked the 12v-2x6 (I think thats what it is) in, I wanted it to look flush and neat, so I spent abit of time fiddling with it, bending it and shaping it abit plugged in, etc to get it somewhat decent.
Now after googling that there apparently should be a 3.5cm space before the first bend, I'm worried I may have done damage and may fry/melt my cables/gpu down the track with what I've done.
I also can't seem to find any replacement anywhere as my PSU is NZXT C850 (2024) 850W. And don't know if any third party cable would be fine.
Is my cable/gpu safe or should I perhaps just get a replacement (don't know where from) and re-do it?
Thanks
Have purchased a new PC via ozbargain for the nebula proton build. Currently have a 34" 3440x1440p 75Hz VA monitor. What kind of FPS can I expect? Is the current monitor a bottleneck for max settings? TIA
Laptop seems decent value for $2799.99 at many retailers. 5070ti x i9-13900HX
16 gigs of DDR5 ( 1 stick of 16gigs )
1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen 4 (Read/Write upto 5000/2500)
I thought I’d ask people who’ve bought Infinity laptops or would have some helpful insight about the brand Infinity itself since it really isn’t that renowned and I couldn’t find reviews about it online. Add to that their website seems a bit shoddy. My questions are:
I didn’t find anything on the motherboard itself and was wondering if
Does the HDMI 2.1 come from the GPU itself ( least latency ) or the motherboard which adds a bit of latency
How is the cooling and should I expect thermal throttling over a long gaming session
( dimensions are 357 x 252.5 x 25.9 mm and the weight is listed at 2.30 kilos on the website )
Hey all.
My aunt is considering buying this;
https://www.nebulapc.com.au/products/karrie-bolt?\_pos=1&\_psq=karri&\_ss=e&\_v=1.0
For my cousin for his first gaming pc. He has a school laptop for word-processing etc. He has peripherals already including a Legion 34- inch R34w-30 QHD Curved Gaming Monitor so 1080p is his cap. Also owns a meta quest 3 if thats relevant.
Mostly plays; COD, mine craft, robolox, typical teen games.
Budget is $1-1.5k AUD or close to.
Any help with suggestions, the one she's considering already or other options would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
