Slipping Ribs?

Hello,

I am recently on the road to discovering whether or not I'm hypermobile. I had thoracic outlet syndrome and had my first rib removed. A few years after the surgery, I have chronic neck pain. I've been told I have some foreward head posture so I'm working on rolling out my upper back. When I do this, the pop doesn't come from my upper back all the time. Often times it comes from my ribs. Does anyone else with hypermobility experience this?

What's up with Moonpay?

https://preview.redd.it/dy3qbtpwo2ah1.png?width=738&format=png&auto=webp&s=f4bc97d34673280424bfd430f682a1cec3194cf2

What's up with these Moonpay fees? I got my first Phantom Wallet and I'm trying to understand how they get away with this. The fee itself was $40.47, but that is not the issue. The issue is that I paid 5% over spot for the SOL? I bought the SOL at $73.959 when its trading closer to $71. How do they charge a fee and a premium?

Whats the Bull Case for XPR

My understanding of XRP is that a user could bypass the traditional SWIFT banking system and utulize XRP to facilitate cross border transactions. It would enable frictionless transactions between two currencies. This would look like USD --> XRP --> YEN. With the GENIUS act and the proliferation of trad-fi bank backed stable coins, why would any financial institutions prefer XRP over RUSD or any other stable coin? It seems to me the use case for XPR has dissappeared, and Ripple has acknowledged such with the advent of RUSD. Let me know your opinions.

Value of Account Drops When Closing Short Perp Position For Profit

I closed a short XRP perp for $3,000 profit and my account value has a steep drop for the amount of the profit. It shows my profit in the derivatives section, but I don’t think it’s been added to cash yet. Is there something I’m missing?

Valuations For Companies That Use Stock Based Compensation

How do you value all of these tech companies that have negative net profit due to high Stock Based Compensations? Many companies I've looked at have had this phenomenom (RKLB, CRWV, SNOW). For instance, CRWV Q1 results had revenue of $2,078M and operating expenses of $2,222 M. That results in an operating loss of $144 M before paying for interest, and they're a heavily leveraged company with a D/E of 10.67. Adding back non-cash expeneses (SBC, Depreciation, etc.) they have an EBITDA margin of 56%. The real kicker is their operating cash flow. Despite a negative net profit if $1,167 M, their operating cash flow is $3,058 M for their last operating year. This leaves their Price / Cash Flow at 8.81 compared to an industry averaege of 18.51. However, their EV / Sales is 13.74 compared to industry average of 3.74 because of their financial leverage. I'm trying to decide what weight to give to each of these valuation metrics.

AI Token Question

Can someone explain AI tokens. I understand you have to utilize tokens to work with AI models, but I don’t get where this comes into play for the average consumer. I use ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity every single day, but I never have to interact with tokens. Are they more for designing AI applications?

FMX - Fomento Económico Mexicano

What is your opinion of FMX? THe idea of foreign constumer staples seems attractive, and it appears slightly undervalued. EV / EBITDA is 8.57 compared to industry average 10.68. They're a conglomorate with many subsidiaries, but two of them earn the lion's share of revenue: OXXO (South & Central America's version of 7/11) and KOF (Coca-Cola's largest franchise bottler). Across Mexico there are 30 million daily transaction tickets at OXXO. 50% of these customers are enrolled in Spin by OXXO, another subsidiary of FMX that issues debit cards and operates a digital finance app that incentives purchases at OXXO. Spin by OXXO members increased 22% YoY. I believe they're being discounted due to the complexity of the conglomorate

Taxes on gold

I just discovered gold is considered a “collectible” and taxed at the same rate as your federal income tax. So if I’m in a 24% tax bracket and buy gold, I need gold to appreciate > 24% to make a profit, and that’s not including premiums either. Is this something most people take into account when buying gold, or do you conveniently lose your gold in a boating accident post purchase?

Swapping silver for gold

How does one go about swapping silver for gold or vice versa. Do you account for the premiums or is it purely spot? My initial thoughts are that I’d get ripped off going to a local coin shop. I’d get 90% worth for my silver and pay premium on gold. Is anyone experienced with these sorts of transactions?

USPS and missing gold

First time gold buyer here. I bought two ounces of gold a week and a half ago from APMEX. The USPS tracking showed it was supposed to be here on the third, but it hasn’t arrived. I went to the post office and they said they couldn’t find it anywhere. The lady mentioned it could be with the driver and that’s why she couldn’t find it, but I didn’t receive it that day either. I’ve contacted both APMEX and customer support at USPS. Anybody have any idea what’s likely to be going on? I want to give USPS the benefit of the doubt and not assume straight away someone stole it, but I’m not sure what else to think.

Quantum Computing

Just discovered today that when quantum computers become efficient enough they will essentially thwart all modern encryption techniques. This might be a narrative already that I’m unaware of, but has this been considered by many in the crypto space??

Posture Issues After Lapiplasty

I had my surgery 6-7 years ago but have had postural issues since then. I have no arch in the right foot and cannot roll over my big toe. Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Fundamental Analysis

I remember learning about the different forms of EMH in college. Weak Form made a lot of sense to me. If everyone is working with the same technical information
,what use are technical indicators? The Semi Strong Form appealed to me as well. There are much smarter Security Analysts than me, so it makes sense the “price would always be right”.

This was all until I was exposed to Value Investing through BG’s “The Intelligent Investor”. Everything in that book seemed like common sense. Why would some companies trade less than their market to book value, and why would others trade at outrageously high multiples? This is where I began using financial models (DCF is the main one) to justify purchasing undervalued stocks. (I know there are significant flaws with DCF so ignore that for now). I began doing DCF models and determined that the whole market is overvalued. Yet, it keeps on making new all time highs.

At what point is traditional fundamental analysis useless?Buying value stocks has resulted in missing out on a large portion of the gains in recent years. In most cases, you’d be better at buying and holding the S&P. Graham even acknowledged much of his techniques are outdated years ago. So what’s the case for FA and Value Investing?

Sleeping After TOS Surgery

I had FRR and anterior and medial scalenectomy. Does anyone have problems sleeping after their surgery. I feel awful all the time and I know sleep is the biggest lever of health, but I cannot sleep. I went to a sleep doctor and got a CPAP machine which hasn’t been helping too much. If I wear it, I have to sleep with my neck in a weird position and cannot fall asleep. Anyone experienced this?

How Do You Buy Gold

Do people buy gold at spot or is that not possible? Is it cheaper to own a gold etf? Where do I begin? I want to buy some gold, but not sure if I should go to Costco, buy an etf or start gold panning at the local river.

Incredible Neck Pain and NO Relief. Please HELP!

I had FRR, anterior and medial scalenectomy, and pec minor release four years ago. I was a little heavier then, but through the process of losing weight and getting back into working out, I have noticed postural abnormalities that cause me incredible pain. I've been told I have scholiosis from a chiro, albeit its minor and other doctors have denied the claim, you can sitll tell there is some lateral curvature in my spine. Through the process of losing weight my resting heart rate has gone from high 40s to 70s, my HRV has progressively gotten worse, I am anxious all the time, and I am in incredible pain. The worse symptom is my neck. It constantly pulls so hard to the right. If I lay on my back, my head still wants to pull to the right. You can tell in the image of me holding the barebell how far my head pulls to the right. This results in so much pain in the suboccipitals, SCM, and scalenes. I cannot get back into any activities I used to enjoy and the pain I am experiencing from this is worse than any TOS symptom I've ever dealt with. I've tried multiple PTs who discount the pain, chiropractors, ART specialists, massage therapist and others. I've recently been prescribed Gabapentin and muscle relaxers which I'm super hesitant to take. I don't want to rely on medication when I believe there is a better alternitave. Has anyone experienced anything like this or have any advice??
