Internet on San Cristobal/Quito

Thinking of studying abroad for a semester in Ecuador, It'd be about 2 months in Quito, 2 months on San Cristobal in the Galapagos. Can someone tell me how the internet is? I'm extremely worried about losing contact with friends and family for such an extended period of time, and also about getting schoolwork done. Does mobile data work okay? Any recommendations are appreciated!

AITA for not letting my roommate's friend use my towel?

I (F20) let my roommate's friend, Mike, (F21 and M22 respectively) crash in our apartment for a few days while an event was going on that they were going to go to and our apartment is closer than Mike's place. We have separate bedrooms, and a shared common bathroom and he was going to stay in her room. They'd both be out of the apt from around 7am to 10pm for the event so it was basically just somewhere to sleep. I've met Mike in the past, and has let him stay over before with no issues, but we're not close.

I found out that Mike has been using my towel in the bathroom after showering (2 or 3 showers at that point). I'd been apparently incorrectly assuming he brought his own/an extra towel or was using my roommate's towel. They are hung on opposite ends of the towel bar and are different colors/patterns. The reason I figured this out was because I went in and realized my towel was missing from the bar even though I always put it there, the last person to use the bathroom was Mike, and my roommate has no reason to take it since she has her own normal towel. By the time I realized, they both had gone to sleep already, so I texted my roommate letting her know I wasn't okay with this and left sticky notes on the bathroom mirror directed at Mike telling him I was not happy with him using my towel, he was NOT welcome to use it, and to return it immediately. Mike got annoyed at me for overreacting, saying that it's just a towel, but I argued that if he was just drying his hands, I'd be okay with it, but after a shower, drying his body, is crossing a boundary line I don't see as unreasonable. My roommate agrees with me that it's crossing a line and didn't realize Mike had been using mine (also assumed Mike was using my roommate's) but thinks I might have overreacted a bit.

tldr, I let my roommate's friend stay over, and found out he had been using my towel without my permission to dry off after showering and I got upset.

Edit to add: I know the sticky notes was on the passive aggressive side, but I did have reason for it. As mentioned, they were out from early in the morning to late at night. If they came straight home after the events, they'd be back around 10, but often would go out to dinner or hang out with people and wouldn't get back til 12-1am. I knew I likely wouldn't be up early enough to see Mike in the morning, and it was very possible that I'd miss him at night if I went to bed before they even got home. I also didn't and don't have a way of directly contacting Mike unless it's via asking my roommate to pass on a message.

If anyone here has taken Biogeochemistry (EEB 4611) in the past, please tell me what to expect on the final exam, and send me any practice exam, (with answer key ideally please) you have! Cotner's refusing to post the answer key to our practice exam, and I'm so royally screwed! Please help! No idea what I'm doing in this class
