I was once a skinny and frail boy during my uni days (2016). I got into fitness a year after I graduated and treated it like some sort of outlet for all the stress and frustrations at work. I was inconsistent too (with working out and diet) because it was so hard to achieve work-life balance in my field, and I only did quick home workouts whenever I felt like it from 2017 to early 2023. Fast forward to 2024, I reconnected with an old friend of mine to work at the same company, and he was an active gym-goer. It piqued my interest, so I started to join him in late November to learn everything all over again, but this time I told myself that I’d take it seriously so I could at least experience being lean and fit. I dialed in with the diet (weighed my food and stuck with my macros), stayed consistent with my workout routine (FBEOD 3x a week), and just enjoyed the overall process! I'm still far from my dream physique, but I’m still grinding!
P.S. They really weren’t kidding when they said working out becomes addictive once you start seeing the results! 😆🤪
Don’t stop hangga’t di ka pa masarap! 🤪
"Eat more, lift heavier!" I'm just happy to see some progress (even if it's slow) for my body recomp journey. 🥹 Still doing FBEOD split but is now tuned to work more on my physique weakpoints. Current base goal for calorie intake is 2,200 (300 kcals-less from my maintenance calories) broken down to 160g P, 255g C and 60g F. Malayo pa sa dream physique, pero malayo na sa journey! Patuloy pa rin ang grind!!
