All the smells

Spent a windy and rainy night sleeping in the 4Runner. But totally worth it to watch Cowboy spend his morning rubbing on the good smelling stuff!

GJ City employees harassing an unhoused man

I just saw two GJ city employees harassing a man on Main. I plan to call the city to let them know once they open. Is there any other org I should contact? I don’t think our city cares too much. But I figured I would ask.

Hi everyone. I’m pretty sure this is post is allowed, apologies if not.
I live out in Colorado, but am staying with a friend off of Cedar Creek lake for the week. I was hoping I could get some leads on possible spots I could go rockhounding. I know Toledo Bend is supposed to be good for palm wood. But that’s a bit too far for me to drive to. I have found a few state parks I could wander around after work. However it would be nice to have some direction.
I am used to being able to head out to public land and just walk around. I grew up around Houston, but did not get into rocks until moving west.
Any tips are appreciated!

I am visiting a friend for the next week in this part of the world. Malakoff is south east of Dallas, I think the biggest town is Corsicana that is around me. I did all the searches and petrified palm wood is east Texas, but the national forest areas where you can find it are over two hours away, and I am having to work during the day.
Anyone know of any spots that might be a good place to check out after work? Any state parks in not quite central but not quite east Texas??

I would really appreciate any tips. I live in western Colorado and do all my hounding around Moab ish area. And when all else fails you just find blm land and walk. I don’t even know what to do with no federal land around me 😆

I live in the Colorado desert, and I keep two small beds of snapdragons. I do have to water a lot, but I don’t keep a lawn like most of my neighbors so I think it’s fair.

I eat my lunch on the back patio. Cowboy stares me down until he figures out he’s getting no food. Then he naps.

Cowboy and this “little” brother Maverick got to hike their first mountain hike of the year. It’s way too early to be able to hike the mountains in Colorado, but here we are. The boys had a real good day.
