Tiny buckets??

Greetings,

Anybody know if the tiny buckets that were briefly available last winter are going to come around again? That *other* big home improvement chain had more of their tiny buckets at my local store recently, but I haven't seen any at Home Depot in months.

Thank you for your time.

Window unit without lower wide L bracket??

Greetings,

We rent our apartment. We have landlord permission to use window AC units. However, we do not have permission to drill or screw into anything (unsurprisingly), so we cannot affix wide L brackets to the outer sills of the windows. The outer sills slope slightly downward. We do not live on the first floor.

Looking to set up a small window AC unit this week, I realized that although the top of the AC unit would be stabilized by the window, without a bracket screwed into the outer sill there isn't much preventing the bottom part of the unit from sliding outward. In the past when I've helped relatives set up these units we usually had a bracket screwed into the sill into which some part of the AC unit would then sit.

Am I wrong to think that without a lower bracket, there is a risk that the bottom of the AC unit could get dislodged (e.g. if it were bumped into with sufficient force), posing a serious danger to anyone/anything below?

Thank you for your time.
