Stay Out Of Staff Areas!

Today's the day I get a bad review from a customer I guess. Due to being short staffed and the usual inability of customers to follow directions or read, I've had to run across the parking lot multiple times today to get people to the right pick up area.

Of course that means it takes longer for some people to get their items. I get it, it's frustrating. That said it doesn't give customers the right to wander into a warehouse after two minutes and try to find their order themselves.

If you aren't being loaded up in a timely manner, call the store, don't wander into possibly dangerous areas. Also have enough patience to wait three minutes maybe.

Not only did this guy walk into a warehouse with employee only signs, when I showed up and told him he couldn't be in there he decides to snark that if we didn't want customers in there then we should be there.

I'll admit I could've been more courteous about it, but I no longer care about this job so I gave him the same tone and told him he shouldn't ignore staff only signs, loaded him up and told him to have the day he deserved.

I'm so tired of helping customers, my next job will hopefully be something where I don't deal with people.

Questions about magical deals

There are two perks I'd like to ask about. One is Deal Maker Demon from Hazbin Hotel, and the other is Dealmaker from Hercules.

It's clear the Hazbin Hotel perk is stronger for what it lets you do. However from the wording it sounds like you can only make deals for souls or followers. The Hercules perk on the other hand, lets you make deals for whatever you want, but you don't get the bonuses of instantly holding up your end without cost.

Could you use Deal Maker Demon for contracts that don't involve souls? The perk seemingly lets me bestow power on others but does it let me take it for myself? Would taking Hercules' Dealmaker augment the perk from Hazbin Hotel to work that way?

My final question is for the Hercules perk, can you have a parent or guardian "sign" on behalf of their child? For example making a deal with the Dursleys to take away Harry's magic.

For reference, these are the perks I'm talking about:

>Deal Maker Demon [1000 CP] - You can make Deals. The D needs to be capital too, this isn’t some pansy-ass half baked give some idiot gold for his soul this is straight-up Wish-Granting levels of bullshit. And you get a power boost for it, though small, about .1% for every deal made. But in turn, as long as you have the raw power, skill, tech, or whatever else needed to fulfill a wish, even if it would normally take years, you can do it instantly and with no prep if it’s for a Deal, though you’d have to have enough time left in Jump to do it. After Spark, though, it’s “As long as you could eventually do it with the power and skills you currently have”. This also lets you make DnD style warlocks, paladins or clerics, as many as you want/can con into signing up with you. And these deals do not lower your power in any way. The power increase you get from making deals is exponential. If you can make/reproduce something within the time you can create it instantly for the purpose of the deal and it doesn’t drain or take it from you in any way, such as money or a potion. The deal is not fiat-backed or forced on either side, Demons and those in deals with them constantly try to one-up each other. This gives you some freedom though, such as someone asking for One Million Bucks, getting bucked one million times or something. Weal and Deal and all that my good fellow! Any Souls you own from deals you make lets you bring those who you own as Followers or Companions as you choose on your Chain, or leave them behind, your choice.

>[600cp, Discounted for Villains] Dealmaker: You have gained the ability to make magically binding agreements with others. As part of these deals, you can enforce magical conditions on a party, such as stripping them of their supernatural powers. You can also use it to allow one party to gain legitimate ownership of another’s souls. A party that agrees to do something is not magically compelled to do so, and can still fail at their task. Should the terms of the deal be broken, magical effects imposed by this power are automatically and instantly undone. In order to enter into a deal, all parties have complete knowledge of the terms and conditions, and deliberately agree to them, such as via a handshake or signing a contract. In saying that, there is nothing stopping you from tricking others into agreeing to deals that don’t really benefit them at all. While a god at the level of Hades may be able to perform a similar ability, those that purchase this perk will be guaranteed that their magically binding agreements will work on any being, and that they can act as a neutral party that establishes a deal between others.

If you know of any other perks in a similar vein I'd love to hear about those too!

Equestria Girls (WIP)

Finally got around to watching the movies and specials. I figure we have quite a few MLP jumps, but none set on the other side of the mirror, so this will hopefully fill that void. It's not done yet, and suggestions are more than welcome as I'm a bit stumped on the last couple perks and items.

Hope you all enjoy my take on an Equestria Girls jump.

Pokemon Powerlevel

I have a jumper that's planning to use Pokemon DNA to integrate some powers into himself, I know there's perks to learn moves but there are some interesting abilities mentioned in the Pokedex that aren't in the move pool (copying blood-types as an example). Are there any perks or drawbacks that would give a hard limit to the power level of the setting?

Normally I'd houserule the power level, but it's the difference between a Machamp being a strongman or being capable of moving mountains. Pokedex entries can be very unreliable, so I'm hoping there's something that'll serve as a guideline for how strong he'll actually become from this. Right now I'm just basing it off what I see in the Anime/Game/Movies/etc. but a lot of capabilities change so it's not super reliable.

The Omar Collective

I found two perks that seem to synergize really well. But I have some questions about how you'd all rule their interactions.

Deus Ex Invisible War:

>Hivemind: The Omar are a technological hivemind. You too are a hivemind with a minimum of a dozen members, even in one body, even if you only have one personality to contribute. (To gain more members, increase your computational capacity; each multiple of peak human grants an additional twelve virtual members.) This gives you impeccable situational awareness, the ability to focus on several things at once, and the ability to take multiple simultaneous mental actions.

Psycho-Pass:

>Collective: With this perk you may not discount Criminally Asymptomatic Your existence is a complicated one. As a child, you were saved by experimental surgery that grafted on transplant organs from 184 other donors, including brain transplants. As a result, you are no longer defined as ‘one’ alive human being, but a collective of 185 separate fragments of life that together approximate a whole under your control. Scans that would read you are now utterly bamboozled, as isolating a single reading from your collective nature is nigh impossible; each of the ‘separate’ 185 fragments tend to slip below the threshold of detection that anything looking for “one human” would search for. You may also bring forward the personalities of each of the other 184 donors individually, in order to further mask your true nature or to use their separate personality traits – their kindness, their aggression, their empathy. The fragmented nature of your existence has no negative consequences on your own identity, nature, or powers, unless you wish it.

These two work well together because I can use the 185 personalities to flesh out the Omar backgrounds to help them blend in, maybe even use them to bounce ideas off of myself by fronting alternate personalities. My question is, would these personalities contribute to the peak human multiplier in Hivemind? And if they do, would each personality be considered peak human?

If they don't it's still a fun and useful synergy to play around with. Thanks in advance!

Rio (WIP)

Got struck by some inspiration for this movie. It's not finished yet and I'd love any suggestions anyone has.

Let me know if you think Rio is on the right track, there's still a lot to do before I'm satisfied with it.

How does one go about stealing a city?

My jumper wants to go on a bit of an archeology chain, not for the artifacts, but for the lost cities they're found in. He basically wants to preserve all the cities and temples that always seem to end up destroyed in those kinds of stories.

Are there any perks, items, tech, or magic that would allow him to remove an entire location?

Pushy Preacher

I've been overdue for weird customer interactions for a while, but I wasn't expecting something like this.

I was having a great day until this customer came in. At first everything was normal he was asking about our products, but we didn't have what he needed. Then he asks if I go to church.

Now, having been a good day, I naively assume he's new in town and looking for a new church to attend. So I name a nearby one I know of. Nope. He's a preacher, he starts asking if I know where I'm going after I die, he starts quoting the Bible, at one point he tries pulling up a four minute sermon on his phone for me to watch. (I had to tell him to write it down for me to watch later to avoid that, tossed it in the bin after he left).

I've never been more greatful for another customer to interrupt me, because I was not getting out of that interaction otherwise.

I get that he's thinks he's saving my soul, but does he think that preaching to people while they're working is going to actually convince anyone? This man thought I was a Christian too so it's not like I didn't already "believe" in his god.

Best Settings for Time Travel Shenanigans

My jumper recently obtained the DeLorean from Back to the Future. He seems to be under the impression that he's basically "won" the chain with just that, I'd like some Jump suggestions to help disabuse him of that notion. Jumps for historical/future tourism would also be appreciated.

While normally I'd just send him to a time travel setting with the inability to change things, most of those have perks that let you alter the past, making it a moot point.
