The owner of this flower shop hit a cyclist and then denied it. Please boycott florabella in downtown crossing.

A food delivery person on an bike was making their way down Washington and was going around the orange barrier to go down part of Washington that isnt open to cars. I caught something from my eye and it was the cyclist getting pushed over into the barrier. It was clear as day that he got hit, luckily not at a high speed. He got knocked over into the barrier and not the street. There was no damage to the car either, again low speeds luckily. But the cyclist starts calling her out and I do too. It starts a fight of her denying she was hit. It got so heated that her mother got out and started yelling with me and telling me that i was in cahoots with the cyclist. The mother of the woman who hit the cyclist tells me that that the cyclist was out to get insurance money. Wtf is she talking about. You hit him. Just own up to your actions. I have never met this man in my life. I wouldnt visit this flower business ever.

Edit: y'all I am a social worker. I have a strong belief in standing up. Its a 4000lb car versus a person on a bike. The car is going to do the most damage. They are protected. The cyclist, who wasnt hurt, could have been. It could have been worse. I personally wouldn't stand in front of a 4000lb vehicle and argue with people if I didnt see him get hit.

Another single speed century in the books.

Ive done several banana seat centuries already but this one was with 2500 elevation gained. It was a long day. Started at 8 am and ended at 12 am the next day. It was a great time but my ass still hurts. Boston to scituate to hull and back.

Edit: I rarely post but I just really want to encourage other women to do centuries. I think they are super fun. They are really challenging and rewarding. You dont have to ask, "can I do it?" Because 9 out of 10 times, yes you can. Im almost 42, and a meatball of a cyclist, and still did it. Its about having a really positive mindset. Its not about can I do it, its, "shit, how long is this going to take"

What the Season Left Behind. 2026

I recently got my first flower press! I made this print on a 11x17. I scanned the flowers directly on the scanner. The coloring is printed without any editing, so the bring color of the scan really changed things, color wise.

First time doing linocut prints

Black and red, two colors of just the linocut print and on a black backing. The other one is a gel press and linocut backed on vellum paper with a clear laminate.

Its the first time ive ever done anything like this before, so im not up to terms with all the cool terms/words.

Bold Ghosts-2026- vinyl on canvas turned into a 13x19 print.

I recently got a large-format photo printer, so I’ve been experimenting with shapes, colors, and different ways of taking my artwork beyond the original canvas. This piece started as a painting on canvas. It was fine, and I even had it hanging for a while, but eventually it came down and sat on the floor. I realized that sometimes art has served its purpose—and then it’s ready to change.Using supplies I already had, I transformed the painting by layering vinyl over the canvas. I love the depth and texture the vinyl created, and the printed version captures that dimension surprisingly well. The last photo shows how the piece originally started: very organized, very demure.

Looking for my first 3 Chicago events to test my sticker vending machine!

Hi everyone!

After years of selling stickers on Etsy, I decided I wanted to bring stickers into the real world. I'm hoping you might help me!

So... I'm launching a personalized sticker vending machine service for weddings and special events! 😊

I'm a Chicago artist and Social Worker, and I wanted to create something a little different. Instead of a favor that gets left behind, your guests receive a token and take home a custom sticker made just for your event. They can feature names, dates, pets, illustrations, inside jokes, or whatever fits your theme. It's meant to be a fun, interactive experience that guests will actually keep and enjoy.

Since I'm just getting started, I'm looking for my first three events and offering an introductory price of $100 in exchange for the opportunity to build my portfolio and gather photos and reviews.

What's included:

  • Sticker vending machine delivery & setup within Chicago only for the first 3 events.
  • A 15-minute Zoom or Google Meet design consultation to talk about your event, theme, and sticker ideas
  • One digital design proof before your event
  • One round of revisions to make sure everything looks just right
  • Custom sticker designs created just for your event
  • Tokens for your guests
  • 50–75 premium stickers (depending on sticker size)
  • Setup and cleanup

Optional upgrades:
✨ Holographic stickers: +$25
🧲 Add custom magnets: +$50

If you or someone you know is planning a wedding or special event in the Chicago area, I'd love to be part of it.

I don't want to self promote my Etsy because it's not specifically wedding related, but my link is on my profile.

Thanks for reading and for supporting a local artist and small business. I'm excited to see where this little idea goes!

Book a consultation to discuss.

Why do men get sohurt when you pass them?

Im a frequent cyclist on Lake Front Trail in chicago, one of the busiest rail trails in the country. I personally like to get my exercise done early, like 5 to 6 am early during the summer months.

Riding about 6 something in the morning yesterday, and this guy with his body fully up, arms up, not holding onto his handles, riding very casually. Hes like this for a few minutes while I catch up to him and pass him, within 2 minutes the guy has his hands on his handlebars, going full speed. He passes me, and then I pass him again when he slows down again, arms up again, and within 2 minutes hes going full speed again. He eventually is passed by a guy cyclist and basically races him for the rest of the way that I saw.

If a woman passes you. Its ok. Dont be butt hurt.

Stilleto Killers sweatshirt-2004/5-Kelly Osborne's brand.

This wasn't a very long lived brand nor did it sell a lot. I havent seen another one on the internet when I reverse search it. I got this brand new for my birthday or Christmas gift in 2004/2005 from my boyfriend at the time. I still have it, and its held up remarkably well for being 20 years old now.
