So many!

The Billy Goat trail in MD. An incredible amount of butterflies. These are the two I was able to capture.

Yea? Or Nay?

I want to brighten up our front room and update it a bit. I like this round table. But I’m not sure it’s a good fit.

The lift

Heavy lifting has done so much for me. I love it I feel my most confident and like I can climb a mountain when I’m lifting. That being said, I lift heavy to combat osteoporosis. And HRT isn’t an option due to a meningioma. I’m so glad I’m doing this for myself. I was a little shocked when my husband showed me these first two pictures. And just to compare, out of the gym, I look like a regular mom.😁

Kintsugi Workshop July 25th

Experience a unique, hands-on workshop devoted to the beautiful art of kintsugi. We’ll begin with a traditional tea ceremony, then I’ll guide you through the meditative process of breaking and repairing your own cup with gold. For those who wish to extend the experience, the workshop can end with a restorative sound bath. All materials are included, from your tea cup to the gold.

2 month “recomp”

I just wanted to share and celebrate a personal win for me. 🤗
I decided to try a fitness challenge and I learned a lot. I learned my portions were incorrect and my macros were out of balance. It wasn’t necessarily easy, but also not as hard once I set my mind to it. Everything I learned about nutrition and moving more has changed my habits. I was already lifting but I wasn’t moving enough beyond that. I now walk one to two times daily or ride my Peloton after dinner. I’m getting enough fat, protein and calcium in my diet now as well.
To start I went in to a deficit with new macros.
Now, with new knowledge I gained at the end of the challenge I am trying to rebuild bone density so I am increasing macros. But I am maintaining with a small bump in weight (2lbs).
Throughout the 8 weeks I maintained all of my muscle except for a 1/2lb. But lost fat. In total I went from 115 to 109.

Favorite Non Dairy/Fish Calcium rich foods

Hi everyone, curious what your favorite non-dairy and non-sardine/anchovy forms of calcium you like to supplement your diet with. I can eat Kiefer so that’s been good, but I’m curious what others favorites or go too’s are. I can’t stomach sardines 😣 TIA🩷🩷

The same?

One week before I was gardening and came across this caterpillar 🐛. A week later at my front door was this beautiful moth(?). Was this the same caterpillar from a week before?💚💚💚💚💚💚💚🩵💚💚

California tortoise shell butterfly?

I had just mentioned that I’ve never seen one of these in California and then was out on my walk and spotted this little guy. Thank you to the person who brought my attention to this unique butterfly.

Spotted her on a busy street.

I almost missed her. She was very still and sitting on the asphalt of a busy street. I put my hand out and she climbed on. I placed her in the greenery by the street. She was still there later just hanging out. I felt very lucky to have found her and to see her beauty up close.
