My New Defender

Hey Guys, been lurking for a while but I just picked up my 2024 Defender 110 X Dynamic SE and I absolutely love it. I have some plans for the truck and was looking for some input.

Im planning on doing wheels and tires right away. Wheels are 20x9 ET30 and I’d like to do 33” tires. Currently between the Falken Wildpeaks, and the BFG K03. I plan to use this car to drive mostly highway and around town but I do a lot of snowboarding and I’d like to be able to get through winter conditions well. Both tires have the 3 peak rating so looking for some real world experience. I had k02 on my Cayenne and they were good but did leave some performance on the table in wet conditions. Also I’m on factory air suspension. Would I need extended rods to run 33” tires without rubbing? Will likely go for 275/60/20.

Quick Big Snow Lap

Nothing impressive, but stoked to get more laps in. Been progressing a lot. I’m hoping to be throwing some spins and grabs by the start of the season this year. Running a Custom Camber, Genesis Est step ons, and Highshot X boots.

25-26 Season Edit

Hey guys, I’m 33 years old. Snowboarded weekends from 12-24 years old mostly cruising and occasional side hits. Stopped for the past 10 years as I got into my career and focused on work.

Fast forward to this year, I decided to get back on the mountain and I instantly fell back in love with this sport. I was able to make it out 18 times this season and I’m hoping to get at least 35 days next year. This year I got the itch to get more into the park and started doing bigger jumps and more boxes.

I’m super excited for winter 27 and got bored and made this edit of winter 2026. Nothing impressive, probably pretty boring, but it was fun to make. I’m still getting up to Big Snow throughout the summer if anyone wants to meet up for a session.

Hey Folks,

I wanted to start this thread to highlight some of the smaller less commercial mountains on the East Coast. Everyone knows of Killington, Stowe, Stratton, etc. Go ahead and share what your favorite smaller/less commercial resorts are in the Northeast and why.

For mine, I have Spring Mountain and Elk Mountain. I live in SEPA and don’t always have the luxury of driving up to NY, VT, or NH. Spring mountain is a little local hill with a 400ish foot vertical. It’s a 10 minute drive from home with a few good learning trails and a tow rope park. The tow rope, and after work night skiing vibes are awesome for somewhere so close to home.

Elk is my other that feels underrated. Most people in the area will go to Camelback, and Blue but forget about Elk. It’s by far the best snow quality and the most tree runs of all of the other PA mountains. Also, the bar at Elk is awesome.

What other lesser known and underrated mountains are you guys hitting throughout the year? I’m always looking to try somewhere new.
