Hey everyone, complete newbie here - never owned a handheld gaming device in my life. I spotted a used ROG Xbox Ally X (RC73XA, Made in Thailand - pic of the back label attached) at a local pawn shop for $600 and I'm seriously thinking about pulling the trigger.
A little about me:
1. IS $600 A GOOD PRICE? Is $600 for a used pawn shop unit a solid deal, or should I wait for a sale on a new one? No warranty is the obvious risk.
2. SCREEN COMPARISON - Z Fold 6 vs Ally X The Z Fold 6 inner screen is a 7.6" Dynamic AMOLED 2X at 2160x1856. The Ally X has a 7" IPS LCD at 1080p/120Hz. Coming from the Fold's AMOLED, will the Ally X screen feel like a big downgrade? How does it look in practice for gaming?
3. WHAT TO CHECK IN-STORE BEFORE BUYING? Since it's a pawn shop with no return policy, here's my checklist - please tell me what I'm missing:
Any known issues with the RC73XA revision I should watch out for? Thanks!
Edit: $600 plus taxes.
So I went back to my GitHub Copilot Pro+ account, which has access to the OpenAI models, and tried GPT-5.6 Sol Max. I was honestly impressed—it was incredibly fast and surprisingly accurate.
Then I tried running the same model through the Codex Chat extension and the Codex desktop app, and the difference was huge. It felt significantly slower.
Has anyone managed to use the OpenAI models through the Copilot Chat harness, maybe via a proxy or some other approach? If so, how were the results?
This is strictly for personal use—not trying to abuse anything or bypass subscriptions. I already pay for the services. I'm just genuinely impressed by the speed and quality of Copilot Chat using what appears to be the same GPT-5.6 Sol model, and I'm curious why the experience is so much better there.
Hi everyone,
I'm having a strange issue with Viber. Polls are being created in my group chat but I cannot see them at all, while every other member of the group can see and vote on them.
Details:
- App is on the latest version
- I was already a member of the group before the polls were created
- All other members (Android and iOS) can see the polls fine
- I can see all regular messages and media in the group — only polls are invisible to me
- Located in the US (AT&T)
- Already tried restarting the app
Has anyone experienced this before or know what might be causing it? I've already submitted a support ticket to Viber but looking for any quick fixes in the meantime.
Thanks!
Hey everyone,
I'm trying to use Codex to control my Chrome browser but keep running into this error every time Codex tries to navigate:
"I couldn't navigate because the Chrome-control runtime is missing on this installation. Please restart Chrome/Codex."
Restarting both Chrome and Codex does not fix it.
My setup:
\- OS: Windows
\- Codex Chrome extension: installed and visible in Extensions
\- Using the u/Chrome / Chrome-control feature in Codex
What I've already tried:
\- Restarting Chrome and Codex multiple times
\- Toggling the Chrome plugin off and on in Codex Plugins
\- Reinstalling the Codex Chrome extension
\- Starting fresh Codex threads
Still getting the same "Chrome-control runtime is missing" error every time.
Questions:
Is this a known bug with the current Codex + Chrome integration?
Is there a way to repair or re-register the Chrome-control runtime?
Does anyone have a reliable step-by-step fix for Windows?
Any help or workarounds are appreciated. Thanks!
