Her character deserved more screentime!
I loved all of these rants lol.
She just kind of disappeared... after the incident. Honestly one of the cooler characters from the later seasons, but needed some closure on her arc imo.
[TOMT] [MUSIC] [2020s] Song heard in reels a few years ago
I am looking for a particular track that was popular in Facebook Reels for a short amount of time. The first time I heard it was on a Reel highlighting the Star Wars: Visions anime.
I DID end up finding it again on one reel after a few days of doomscrolling, but it's been remixed and had rap lyrics overlaid on top of it and because of that it confuses AHA and Shazam so I can't get the track off of it. If anyone can tell me what the track is I'd love to find the original of it!
Telling people to "just Google it" is no longer a viable option and you are rude for doing so
The internet as we've known it has been dying for some time and the way people respond to internet newbs hasn't adapted.
Most of the traffic is bots. Most of the articles and posts across most social media is now bots too. The old internet of hobby forums and webrings was killed to incorporate everything into social media and algorithmic search. Social media hardly ever has in-depth information. When it does it is behind someone's paywall trying to make a living and/or grift a community. Websites built for algorithmic searches are almost always selling something.
Google conquered the search industry, with yahoo, yandex, Startpage and a few other special interest engines (like flikr/Ebscohost/Jove/IEEExplore) barely hanging on and most alternative search engines just being skins for Google's engine. Once Google did this they started constraining searches. Yeah you'd get "thousands of web results" but you'd only see the first few pages of that. And those pages almost always had ad-based traffic at the top. Now it's all AI-focused slop. MSN/Bing never was a real competitor as it was basically a (bad) Google clone. And Microsoft and Google have both been "cross-pollinating" by buying up stock in other competitor companies that dare surface... all so they can control the flow of information and lead people to their services.
So much information has been lost, even if some of the legacy sites are still out there, unless you have hard links to them you aren't finding them.
That leaves us with Wikipedia, Youtube, and Reddit. Wikipedia has notoriously gotten worse over the years. Youtube killed almost all of its competition then started the same algorithmic nonsense and thousands of accounts with actual information and useful tutorials are gone or set to private.
Reddit is the place a lot of people come to ask questions and 90% of the time if the answer isn't something complex enough or wrong enough to trigger people's "need for correction" that answer will be "Just Google it".
Jesus in Grimgar, apparently
Randomly remembered this show, did a rewatch this month, and captured this screenie when the party made it to the old church ruins. Didn't know they were so based in ol' Grimgar.
