eSIM for old Free Data for Life MI Plan?

I still have one of those old Free Data for Life plans active in an iPad. I'm looking at upgrading to a newer iPad, but Apple has killed the physical SIM slot. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a way to convert the line to eSIM. In the iPad cellular settings, anything that might theoretically help either doesn't work or is missing. Anyone have a solution for FDFL eSIM?

Free Data for Life was a thing T-Mobile offered about a decade ago, where tablets and some other mobile internet devices could be activated on a zero-cost plan with 200 MB of monthly hard-capped data. Like many people, my line has stopped working a few times over the years - but t-force has always been able to fix it after some headache. These days, T-Mobile sometimes doesn't even bother to enforce the 200 MB cap.

These FDFL lines exist in a really weird place in T-Mobile systems. Sometimes they're treated as prepaid, others postpaid. After a lot of fighting I can now login to T-life under this line, but I can't do anything except access T-Mobile Tuesdays lol. Even on the website, there's nothing about SIM or eSIM management.

Scripps Free Local Channel Connector Offer

My family lives in one of the markets impacted by the ongoing Scripps local channel carriage dispute. About ten days ago, we received an email offering a free Local Channel Connector dongle to tune in the missing channel via antenna. I've long wanted an LCC to receive local subchannels, so of course I immediately went to the DirecTV website and redeemed the offer.

A confirmation screen appeared on the website, but nothing since then. No order emails arrived, and nothing shows up anywhere on the DirecTV website reflecting an LCC order. I have accounts with USPS Informed Delivery, UPS My choice, and FedEx Delivery Manager, which all do not show any incoming package. Thus I don't think the LCC is actually going to arrive anytime soon.

Has anyone else in a Scripps market managed to obtain an LCC during the current dispute? How did the process go for you?
