I'm planning to enroll in a Master's program (MAEd)
and currently looking for hybrid set-up because I feel like mas OK ako sa F2F class.
I tried online enrollment sa Philippine Christian University thru a "site coordinator" and I completed the online application through their student portal and was issued a student number. However, after 9 days, there was still no assessment, no Statement of Account (SOA), no list of enrolled subjects, no curriculum, no fee breakdown, and no payment schedule visible in the portal.
When I asked about the missing assessment and fees, I was told to "skip that" and just pay through bank transfer after getting my student number.
My concern is: How can I pay if I don't even know what I'm paying for?
For comparison, I applied to National Teacher's College (pure online) has a portal showing:
- Enrolled subjects
- Number of units
- Tuition breakdown
- Miscellaneous fees
- Total assessment
- Down payment amount
- Payment schedule
In this case, I only learned through Messenger sith the PCU coordinator that the tuition is supposedly ₱32,000 per term with an ₱8,000 down payment. The coordinator also said they'll send the curriculum through Messenger later.
Maybe I'm just used to more transparent systems, but it feels strange that important enrollment details are being shared through personal Messenger chats rather than appearing in the official portal or through official documents.
Is this normal for some graduate schools na ganito or should I be concerned and insist on getting an official assessment before paying anything? Would love to hear from anyone who has experience with graduate school enrollment, especially if you've encountered a similar process.
Meron ba school na goods for MAED English? Maliban sa Sacre haha cuz doon na ko nag college.. Eh i want new school sana. Haha
