Hello! I am part of a 30-piece band which has around 2000-3000 pieces of fairly old, physical sheet music with no digital backups. My current plan is to use a self-hosted (I don't want to pay for cloud storage) database at the band room which can then be accessed remotely, and manually scan the music in, or contact the publishers to see if they can provide digital copies.

To those that have had to go through a similar process, anything you wish you had known before starting?

How have you approached this in the past?
