Steering wheel not centered

2026 Sport Hybrid.

Does anyone know why my dealer can’t center my steering wheel when I’m driving straight?

My steering wheel is off-center by a couple of degrees to the left. The dealer has already performed two wheel alignments, and both reports show that everything is within spec (all numbers are in the green), but somehow the steering wheel is still off-center.

The picture shows the steering wheel position when I’m driving straight down the freeway.
Has anyone experienced this before?

Thanks!

2026 Hybrid. Brake Booster Noise normal?

Hi Everyone,

Just want to ask if this is normal but for anyone who has a 23’ and up Hybrid CRV, does your car make a noise whenever you press the brakes?

It sounds like a squeaky noise and you can clearly hear it when it’s in Park. Every time you press on the brakes, it makes a noise and gets louder when you pump the brakes.

Just checking if anyone has the same noise.

Thanks!

Transmission whine?

New 2026 Miata RF GT MT. Anyone notice a transmission whine at 3rd gear at around 4k and above RPM? Is this normal?

Not complaining, it actually sounds cool, kinda like straight cut gears. Just making sure this is normal.

Thanks!

Is there ANY way to put the maps/navigation on the instrument cluster? (2026 Sport-L Hybrid)

Bummer. Found out my Sport-L does not show the turn by turn navigation on the instrument panel. I swear the car I test drove had that navigation feature and shows the navigation on the left side of the screen.

But is there any way I can add that feature on my Sport-L? Would the dealership be able to add that?

Do I hurt the car?

First time to own a convertible (ND3 RF). Is it bad if I turn on the AC (or heater, depending on the weather) when the top is down?

Not sure but I feel like I “overwork” the engine when I blast the AC and just letting all the cold air out lol.

Genuine question by the way. It feels so good to drive the car with the top down, but we’ve been getting 100 degree weather here in the Bay Area lately.

Thanks!

With California’s gas prices at $5.50/gal, these makes more sense now.

Have been ignoring the shift recommendation thing for a while but after spending $60+ on a full tank for the past few months now, I’m granny shifting all the way!

Why are people choosing the CX50 over the CX70?

Went to the dealer today to take a look at the CX50 hybrid, and I saw a CX70 right next to it. It was a 2026 premium turbo with only 2,500 miles. Almost the same price OTD as a brand new CX50 Hybrid Premium. Spoke to the salesperson and asked why it was so cheap and he said it was their fleet or demo car. Went online to check out the average prices for the CX70 they’re not far off from a brand new CX50.

That got me thinking, why would you pick the CX50 over the CX70? Other than the mpg, which I think is not far off, wouldn’t the CX70 be a better option?

Funny enough, the time I was at the dealer, two families just drove off in their new CX50’s.

It’s true, the CR-V does struggle going uphill.

Quick review on the 2026 Sport-L Hybrid.

At first, I didn’t really believe the complaints about the CR-V being underpowered until I experienced it myself. Took it to Yosemite today and hit a bunch of uphill sections with some pretty steep grades. The car wasn’t even heavily loaded, just two people and enough clothes for a weekend trip and you could definitely feel the engine working hard, revving loudly.

Unfortunately there’s no RPM gauge, but I could tell it was getting close to redline during climbs. I spent most of the drive switching between Sport and Normal mode: Sport for overtaking and steeper sections, Normal for cruising and downhill parts. Despite that, I still averaged 37 MPG for the entire trip, which honestly is pretty impressive.

That said, the handling surprised me in a good way. The car feels great in the twisties, really fun to toss into corners, and using regen braking before turns works perfectly. Ride quality is smooth and comfortable overall. Compared to the 2026 Rav4 I drove a couple of weeks back on the same route, the CRV handles way better and feels nicer to drive. The Rav4 does feel faster though and I don’t feel it struggling going uphill on the same route.

My biggest complaint is probably freeway noise. There’s quite a bit of road and wind noise at highway speeds, more than I expected. Playing music does not drown out the noise at all. Overall, I still think it’s the best commuter out there.

Anyone successfully installed puddle lights for 23+ CRV?

Coming from a car with door handle lights, puddle lights on the side view mirror and door mounted puddle lights, I was a bit disappointed that this car has none that can help illuminate the ground at night, which I find very useful specially if you park on dark areas.

Has anyone installed any lights? Care to share what you did here? Thanks!

Bummer, windshield got hit with a rock and cracked. But that got me thinking, I have a 2026 Sport-L Hybrid and based on a quick googling, it looks like the Sport Touring model has better insulated windshield which improves the cabin noise.

Does anyone know if I can use the Sport Touring Windshield on my Sport-L? I can try to request this when I get my replacement but I do want to get some feedback first.

Thanks!

People with ‘23 and up CRV!

Has anyone figured out a good way to keep a phone from sliding around in the wireless charging pad? Say a 3D printed phone support to keep it from sliding around?

I genuinely don’t understand how some of these are designed. The slightest turn and the phone shifts out of position, so it barely charges or stops altogether. It feels like zero thought went into keeping the phone actually aligned. How did this make it through design and testing, nobody knows.
