What your preference on charger adapters? > New Models out (Tesla/Ford/Lectron)
New owner
Location: Bay Area
Until I find a contractor to install the Level 2 charging at home, I am looking to find a good adapter. I'll need it for planning a Bay Area to LA trip anyways.
My understanding is NACS to CCS = Fast Charging / NACS to J1772 = More common not as fast. I'd rather have both to be safe.
What did you go with? Any issues?
So far I have seen these (yes I do want fast charging as well).
- Ford Fast Charging Adapter (NACS) - $200 (Sold Out)
- Lectron NACS to CCS Adapter with Interlock | Vortex Plus | 500A | 1,000V | UL 2252 Certified | Compatible with Tesla Superchargers - $179.99
- Lectron Tesla Supercharger (NACS) to CCS Adapter (500A / 1000V) + Tesla to J1772 Adapter (48A / White) Bundle - $269.99
- Tesla Chargers?
New to me. 2023 GT - Bye 4Runner
Took in the wife’s lifted 2017 4Runner Limited for this 2023 Ford GT 11k miles , I got extended warranty through Ford, luckily it still had 2 months left of factory warranty.
Already have contractors coming to get bids on installing a Level 2 charger in our home.
Overall happy with it. I could’ve gotten new 2025 GT numbers worked for us better personally in the end.
NorCal + 4Runner….yeah not worth 10MPG. My 2019 Raptor gets like 12MPG (that … I can justify LOL)
If the numbers are right, the loan will pay itself within 2 years of ownership by using EV.
Any accessories? Better tint.
Anyone do front windshield tint? Did it mess any sensors or cameras?
Assist in buying a new 2026 2500HD, whats a good price?

What do you think the lowest price i could get them to go down?
MSRP is 89k
I would get warranty given the issues with Chevy overall, peace of mind for me
+ warranty how much did you pay and for what mileage? Can i get it later when my inital new warranty is about to expire?
Anyone? Feeds off pressure cooker environments and needing to stay “busy”?
Just curious,
More and more I do self reflection and just taking a step back over the years with therapy to not just know “myself” after getting out but also for my wife to better understand me and my kids as well (toddlers).
It’s like I feed/have a need to be in pressure cooker environments (high stress/nearing deadlines/go go go - hit task after task down the line - boom boom boom).
+ need to make these challenges to oneself to see if i can do “x” ?
^ For Example: I have a do to list and my schedule is set every day. Life and die by it. My to do list, I’ll throw some headphones on and knock em out one by one and basically “compete” with myself as a challenge. Can I get all these things done within x hours like a time hack in a way. Then I’ll kick back for a sec when I complete it and then carry onto something else because I’m very “task oriented”.
…I can’t just “sit on my ass”. I just gotta be up and moving. It needs to be “productive”.
Work: High Stress , Deadlines, adding more onto my plate because I like to have these bursts of “high intensity” although forced but “pressure cooker environments” where people depend on me to get xyz done and yeah I get it done.
> mentally, burnt out most of the time but I feed off it. In an odd way. People tell me “you need to chill” “don’t tie every loose end” but I don’t operate that way. I just don’t.
I thought out getting back into riding motorcycles to just ride “no long distance but just ride” and getting back into the range and get my Concealed Carry and get into trainings again.
Anyone get out or know anyone similar in how I am? If that makes any sense.
