Sorry for TMI

I am 11 days PO from RNY, does anyone know why I am passing so much gas?! I’ve heard of people having very stinky gas after surgery, but I didn’t think it would be all the time… Also, I wouldn’t say these are deadly, if you catch my drift.

PS I am not having any gas pains anymore… That’s been over since just a few days after surgery.

Tummy tuck Q

Does anyone know if you still would need the abdominal tightening if you focus on deep core strengthening and rectus sheath exercises that women do postpartum- I’m not cleared for core exercises yet but I’ve been thinking about focusing on that for in case I want skin removal in the future bc I’ve heard the muscle tightening is the most painful part

1 day post op

Hallelujah! Thank Jesus that it’s over and that it went well. My main problem right now is just some soreness and gas pains, I am doing my best to stay moving/rest when I can and I’m working on fluids. I am exhausted. Thank you for all the well wishes. Thank you to everybody that brought their experiences so that I could learn over the past year while I was waiting to get my surgery. NGL, just after surgery when I was having the most pain I really really regretted it. But now that I’ve got some of the gas out of my body. I’m starting to feel better.

TMI

Might be TMI for some, but started my period three days ago…so happy it came before surgery, lol. I’ve seen some people say theirs came right after surgery and I was worried that might happen. Anyway, that’s all. 🎉 🎉 🎉

Condiments…

I made a mistake today at target… I was walking around and I thought I should look at condiments, because I know after surgery I’ll need to use low-calorie things like the sugar-free Walden’s farms or other things with less calories and I thought of all of the Youtubers that I see who use salsa to add flavor to their meals instead of creamy condiments… My favorite has always been mayonnaise. Which is one reason we’re about to have surgery… We being me…anyways, I came home with Sriracha sauce and tajin. When I got home my husband reminded me that in the pre-op class, I was told I will not be allowed to have spicy things for at least 4 to 6 weeks.

Day 4 preop diet

Happy to report that this is easier than I expected; I was originally scared I would mess it up or be really tempted by things. NGL, I did look up the crumbl flavors last night, but luckily they’re being lazy as per usual…(jk). I’m getting really excited for the big day…just wanted to share. Good luck to everyone also in the process. 🫶🫶

I’m scared of not doing well on the preop diet; my doctor prescribed a diet of two protein shakes and 1 meal/day. Just looking for support. TIA 🩷 surgery is scheduled for June 15th
