Does anyone take HMB anymore?
I'm 55 years old and peaked in the 90's lol, but back then HMB was considered a useful supplement (along with creatine).

Has HMB usage been debunked?

I'm currently trying to burn fat and preserve (or maybe even gain?) muscle.

I can't workout with heavy weights or high intensity (like I used to) due to a series of chronic soft tissue injuries along with low back issues.

I focus on volume and time under tension with lighter weights, as well as slow, controlled eccentric movements.

(I'm a Physical Therapist so I do know how to manage the chronic pain/injuries and function pretty well despite those issues).

So would HMB be helpful for my situation?

(I currently do creatine and magnesium glycinate, as well as multivitamins, plus around 150 grams plus of protein each day. Also intermittent fast by not eating before noon or after 8pm. And avoid added sugars or saturated fat while maintaining calories as low as feasible to get my "good" macros)
