I’ve had a dry throat for the last two weeks and assumed I might be getting sick or dehydrated, but 1) I noticed it feels worse when I drink tap water but not bottled and 2) there’s everything going on with the curtailment and source blending.

I tried reaching out to Conway Corp and they understandably told me to see a doctor and predictably said it couldn’t be them, I just wanted to see if maybe it is just me and my household or if others noticed it, too.

I’ve got an economics degree so trust me, I know exactly what kind of labor market I’m heading into.

My employer is offering a voluntary separation package to be paid out in early September that I’m estimating will cover about 3 months of expenses. I’m accepting this rather than take the risk that I’m swept up in the coming layoffs.

I’m just trying to do what I can to brace myself and put my feelers out there. It’s looking grim. If anyone knows of a business trying to hire a mid-level business analyst soon, I would greatly appreciate the heads up.
