Is Flåm worth a day trip out from Bergen?

We’ll be getting the train out of Oslo straight to Bergen, where we will spend 4 days. We have a Mostraumen Fjord cruise booked from Bergen on one of the days and considering using another day to do a day trip to Flåm, but looking at the journey times it seems like it would be quite a long day trip (2 hour ish train from Bergen to Myrdal, then the Flamsbana itself being an hour, then we will probably spend at most a couple hours in Flam itself before doing it all over again to head back into Bergen).

Is this worth it or should we figure out something else to do with the extra day?

Employer letter for Set (M) ILR application

Hi all. I’m applying for ILR (as a spouse) in August and will be using my salary + payslips to show I meet the financial requirements. just wanted to check if the below is ok for employer letter for ILR financial evidence? Do I separately also need a line which clarifies e.g. "this salary has been effective since [DATE]" or is the below sufficient?

Thank you!

"I write in connection with your request for information on [NAME] and am pleased to confirm the following:

  1. [NAME]’s current job role is Associate and is a full-time, permanent position.
  2. The salary for this position is currently £[SALARY] gross per annum."

Planning a trip in July - Oslo/Bergen split?

Hi there! Sorry if this question gets asked a lot but I am planning a visit to Norway in July and have landed on visiting Oslo and Bergen for my first trip - I’m thinking roughly a week between them, but if I do say 3 nights Oslo and then 3 nights Bergen (part of Day 4 will be taken up by travel time by train), does that sound like a good split? Or should I spend a bit more time in Bergen eg 4 nights?

We’re interested in checking out museums,
cafes and restaurants and also of course just generally walking around the cities. We will most likely do a fjord tour (or two!) and go for some nature walks though we aren’t big on hiking.
