Bought this ages ago but haven’t had a place to hang it in about as long! Finally decided this would be a fun place of honor for it.

Finally got around to listening to On the Beach… on the beach.

Just got back from a family vacation to Armenistis, Ikaria, Greece- 22 hours of travel yesterday (!)

While there I took a morning to get to the beach and watch the sun come up and listen to my favorite Neil Young record. It was a fabulous 40 minutes. Here is the sunrise 🌅

That wonderful bass sound really works out on the sand. Walk On was a wonderfully energetic opener and as you know, it’s all down hill from there until it crawls to a near-standstill by the end of the record.

I know it’s a bit on the nose, but I’ve always wanted to do it. No regrets! 10/10 would recommend!

Vacation Vinyl Pickup!

Found this in a record store in Athens, Greece last week. I like to pick up a random record on our vacations and hadn’t seen this in the wild in the US so I grabbed it.
Just got back to Ohio yesterday after 23 hours of travel. Solid listen; sounds like they’re having fun but inessential at its core. Any fans of this record?

Off book things to do/see in Athens?

Traveling to Greece in a few days. We are only in Athens for two days but I was wondering if there is anything you all would recommend that maybe my family would be surprised and interested in doing.

My wife and daughter are visiting for the first time but will be with other family members who have been before.

After that we are spending the rest of two weeks on Icaria so any tips on that would be appreciated too. Again, our extended family has visited in the past but it’s our first time so I would be great to be able to suggest something they haven’t seen or done before!

Titus Andronicus fans?

Curious if Titus Andronicus has much love with Weezer fans as they are one of my favorite bands as well. I think Patrick has a similar ear for melody as Rivers, but he is more drawn to noisy arrangements and shredding vocals.

Also, I only just noticed the other day that Patrick Stickles is credited as a writer and playing guitar on Foolish Father. Has anyone seen any interviews where either he or Rivers has commented on that collaboration?

It is insane that this community refuses to fund its school system- one of the main draws bringing younger families to the city. Instead people who cannot budget their households bitch and moan about how the school and city budget their resources.

The idiots are winning.
