Majdal Shams, the Religious Committee in the village of Majdal Shams held a meeting in which it studied public affairs and social conditions in the region, and concluded by issuing an official statement in which it defined its national and social constants, declaring that it expresses the opinion of the vast majority of the village's residents.

The statement:

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
The Religious Committee met in the village of Milk on Saturday, 6/7/2026.
Having discussed the public affairs of the village and the social situation, it decided the following:

1. The Religious Committee is considered the representative of the village people and expresses their general opinion.
2. The Religious Committee declares its national orientation and its belonging to the motherland, Syria, and rejects all attempts to distort the affiliation of its children.
3. The Committee is keen on the best relations with our brothers in the homeland, within the region and outside it, relations based on mutual respect for rights across the expanse of the homeland, and cooperation for the protection of the homeland and its children. This includes respect for neighbors, respect for all, and commitment to the national and ethical constants that we have agreed upon and will continue to uphold.
4. The activity of the Religious Committee in social and religious affairs is aimed at establishing values and morals, and social etiquette in the souls of our children and their behavior, and not engaging in any political matter that does not serve the public interest and the supreme national interest and civil peace.
5. It is not responsible for any individual positions that conflict with this statement, in line with our belief in what is best for the nation and the people, and for our country's stability and development.

God is the grantor of success and the guide to the path.
