After fees and shipping, paid $440. I really want it to be EF-40, but I’m thinking more likely VF-35. Too much flatness around the ear/hair. Thoughts?

Paid spot for 60 mercury dimes in an auction a couple weeks ago and found this one amongst the commoners- definitely has some damage and wouldn’t straight grade, but still a nice find!

I saw the first image below at auction and noticed that worn ol’ merc looked like a 1916, figured what the hell I’ll bite… won the lot and picked it up today.

Close but no cigar. Still ended up paying just under spot for the silver coins once I subtracted the face value stuff.

Been awhile since I’ve found a decent RPM- nice to have one on a wheatie, too!
