A question I've had with the series for a while

So I haven't seen much of the show just moments every now and then. But I wonder if this was stated at any point with Momo's quirk when she created things does it hurt her to do it? Or is it a painless thing?

I got stuck mostly on the subway after the Ra's al ghul fight, then Mr.Freeze made me toss my controller where a back piece of the trigger broke off. But now I finally did it.
