So far he is modeled on the WW1 propaganda poster. Most versions include red vertical stripes on the top hat. Think he needs it?

So far the image is akin to the WW1 propaganda poster. Should I add red stripes to the top hat 🤷‍♂️.

Any chance this fabric can be identified? I expect either linen or some polyester blend but need info before dying. Any help appreciated
