Spark Control

I've had a Spark 40 since pre-order days and Spark Control pedal (not control X). I found out long ago that the Spark app (which I rarely use), must be running and onscreen (on Android) for the pedal to work. Was disappoint.

I rarely use the Spark app, so I never used the pedal. Have recently updated my Spark 40, and have the same issue, so that was never sorted out apparently.

Am considering a Spark Edge and was wondering which pedal could use it where I don't need the Spark app to be onscreen.

In other news, I finally retrofitted a headphone jack that doesn't cut out the speakers (via TP48 and TP49 and ground) to my Spark 40 today. Only took several years.

Braun X300 toothbrush

I wonder if anyone actually tested it with toothpaste.

Using that black shiny thing is like trying to hold a slippery eel when doing my teeth.

I guess Braun maximized shareholder value by removing the rubber grips my old one had.

Ugh!

That would be $125/mo for a 1G plan (Purefibre) Internet only, no TV (Optik) or security with a 5 year contract. Haven't talked to loyalty yet, but this seems pretty high.

Oh, and this is via their web based chat line.

Update:

I later talked to loyalty (department of last resort) and they gave me the same price until I pointed out much better offers on the Telus web site. We ended at 1G for $100/mo and $10 discount for pre-authorized payment.

Interestingly, I had called a few weeks ago to cancel security, TV and my landline (and it was like pulling teeth). These were to be cancelled May 4th, but despite confirmation on my part, they didn't cancel the landline. I got that sorted out with loyalty today.

They'll be by tomorrow to swap out my T3200M, which doesn't seem to work well with my Pixel 9 Pro XL.

Once this is all done, I think I'll go for a week long bender.
