Storable Seating that isn’t a Camping Chair?

We regularly have large groups of people over at our house and just hang out in the living room. We always need to pull out extra chairs, which has typically been folding camping chairs. They have all broken and I’d like to replace them with something that feels a little more like a proper chair, but is still storable. We would need 4-6 probably.

Does anyone have recommendations for a seating option with a back, that would be comfortable for sitting a couple of hours, but is also easily storable? Maybe something that folds or stacks?

Our style is neutral transitional with some pops of color and a little boho thrown in.

Finish Suggestions

I am building my first acoustic guitar. I’ve worked on them for a long time and built plenty of electric guitars, but never an acoustic. At this point, I’m confident in everything except for the finishing process. I don’t want to put all of this work into building it, and then be disappointed with the last step.

What would everyone recommend as a finish that uses a process that would be fairly fool proof and wouldn’t require specialty equipment like a custom buffing machine?

My preference will be an open pore or more satin type finish as opposed to a high gloss. I like the natural and understated look of it.

I’ve done a good bit of woodworking and have applied oil finishes and wipe-on polys, etc. i did a french-ish style polish with Tru-Oil on an electric body that I was relatively pleased with. I do have an air paint sprayer set up, but it’s just in my garage and not in a paint booth or anything like that.

Thanks!

Finger Plane Alternative

I’m looking to pick up a couple of planes for the shaping of the braces on my first acoustic guitar attempt. I love the little Ibex #1 Finger Plane, but can’t justify spending $80+ quite yet on it. Maybe one day.

In the meantime, has anyone found a serviceable alternative (meaning a very small thumb plane) that would be less expensive?

Summer Beer Baseline Recommendation

It's summer, and I'm looking for a go-to recommendation. Here are the parameters:

  1. Something that tastes like beer. No grapefruit Smore's dipa shandy stuff. I love trying new things here and there, but I'm always drawn to really good examples of standard styles. I'm really just looking for a baseline beer for days in the pool and such. In this case, it feels like a good lager or pils is the way to go. Easy drinking, plenty of flavor, but nothing too unique.
  2. No macro breweries that pump out billions of gallons. I don't mind a Corona or Miller Light here and there, but drink more than two of them, and I start getting a headache and feeling gross. In fact, this request was spurred by going to the beach a few weeks ago and buying Modelo. I drank a few of those and just felt terrible. Maybe it's something in the process of pumping out so much product. It doesn't have to be a tiny craft brewery, but just someone who is paying attention to the quality of their product and process.
  3. Needs to be readily available in my area. I live near Charlotte, NC, so I need to be able to get it. Feel free to recommend things outside my area for others to try, and please specify whether they are regional.

I don't know why that feels like a tall order. I wish it weren't, but if you have any recommendations for me, I would greatly appreciate it!

I’ll add, maybe the closest example I’ve found so far is Mountain Time by New Belgium. I can get that for $14 for a 12 pack. So, it’s not an unreasonable ask. Looking for other options.
