Anyone here have strong opinions about the difference between these two presses? I've used the one on the left before, but considering purchasing one and wondering if there's much of a difference between them. Thanks in advance for your input! :)
Made this little linocut print recently :) I had apologized to a colleague for something random and her response was "I don't even remember that, you can take that rock out of your backpack." And then a little while later, this song started playing, and it struck me as a nice combination of words/images.
Enjoy, and maybe give yourself a break and take something you've been carrying around out of your backpack today :)
Feel free to borrow this idea for your own library - this summer, we ran a 2 month long art exhibit at our little art gallery as a fundraiser for our local library where we invited local artists to submit bookmark art, sleeved and tasseled their submissions, and sold them for $10 a piece with all profits donated to the library. We ended up raising $3,700 (yup, we sold 370 bookmarks!! all made by human artists!)
This first picture here are the linocut bookmarks I made for the show, second image shows the full show.
I think anyone could do this at any library, coffee shop, school, etc. to fundraise. It was super fun and lots of beginner artists felt really great seeing that their bookmark art was sold!
Hi printmaking friends! I designed and carved this little set of linocut bookmarks featuring bookish/library-ish quotes this year for a fundraiser for my local library. 🌈
