Morning & Evening - Reduction lino
First slightly more ambitious reduction lino. Was a constant battle against ink noise but I love the mood. They resonate nicely.

I am not new to lino printing, I am a textile student and do this often in classes. I’ve recently picked it up as a hobby but it’s not coming out as it does in classes? I use acrylic paint and acrylic medium. I’ve ruined a shirt because my printing comes out poor.
My latest linoprint “White-top Pitcher Plant”.
The White-top Pitcher Plant is a carnivorous, herbaceous perennial indigenous to the Florida Panhandle, prized for its striking white-topped pitchers with red/purple venation. It is listed as endangered in Florida.
We have Tarkiln Bayou Preserve State Park here in Pensacola to view the endangered white-top pitcher plant and it’s such a awesome sight to see.… show hashtags
I recently discovered the concept of ACEOs and immediately fell in love with the idea of working on a micro-scale. As a printmaker, I happen to have a massive backlog of work from early test sheets, experiments, and misprints that usually just sit in a drawer gathering dust.
I spent my morning cropping these prints down to the standard 2.5 x 3.5 inch size to give them a second life as standalone mini-artworks. Some are just the raw black ink, while others have been embellished with watercolour.
Since I'm totally new to this community and format, I'd love some feedback from seasoned collectors or makers!
Linocut print of an old postcard I found, and the process of making it. I felt it was so therapeutic doing this one amid all the things going on now.
New to linocut but I knew I had to try and render the Coolest Guy and how he was side eyeing Daki with explicit distain the whole show
I made this linoprinted zine inspired by blind contour drawings I made at an art fair I was taking part in. People were not buying from anyone so rather than get frustrated, I decided to draw their noses of people passing by! I made eye, mouth and ear drawings so more to come…!
This print is inspired by the old Irish 1 pence penny from the pre-euro punt currency.
The penny itself is inspired by the celtic art in the 'Book of Kells' illustrated by monks in 900AD.
I used linseed based relief ink and black Strathmore 300gsm archival paper

Hello everyone!
I’m quite new to printmaking. So far, I’ve only used water-soluble printing ink and everything worked great. Today I wanted to print one of my designs on a T-shirt, so I bought a fabric block printing ink (Essdee).
First I tested it on paper, but the colour came out quite uneven (picture 1), and it looked even worse on a scrap of fabric (picture 2). On top of that, I’m now having trouble cleaning the ink off the block and I’m worried I may have ruined my design :(.
I tried washing it with water and a cloth, but it didn’t work very well and now the block is stained (picture 3). I also tried rubbing alcohol.
Could someone help me understand what I’m doing wrong? Both in terms of cleaning the ink off the block and improving the print quality? The block printed nicely on paper with my regular ink, so I’m guessing the issue might be with the fabric ink.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
I always struggle to trust the process with reduction prints - the first layer is always so underwhelming and I never remember in that moment that the final image will look SO different.
This is my very last minute piece for a print swap - printed yesterday on Bunkoshi Select Awagami paper with Versafine ink pads - because I needed this to dry instantly so I can ship it today! 😅
Transmitting and receiving in silence - a familiar mood I wanted to carve.
Wonderful technique, looking forward to exploring it more. Printed on Fabriano Unica with Lawrence oil inks.
Hello!!!
I've recently gotten started with linocut print making and I've had some pretty inconsistent results. Any tips on my work would be appreciated 👍🏻. I made a lot because I was practicing trying things out myself
My most common problem is blurry prints, sometimes they do sometimes they don't blur and I Cannot figure out why
Any tips on why my prints are turning out like they are would be beneficial, and how to solve them.
My supplies consist of the pink speedball linocut, stone henge paper I got from blick (leftovers from a class) and a linocut kit I got from Michaels. But I don't think art is entirely limited by supplies. Help me out here guy!!
i posted the other day asking if i should get rid of the chatter for the moon stamp, and you guys said it would look better without it - you were right!!
here’s a random compilation of the stamps I’ve made so far!
Lmk your thoughts about the style and application.
