Banana plant - can it still be saved

The last photo was the first one, so she looked pretty good when we got her. Then after awhile there were brown edges around the leaves and the leaves got a bit droopy. Now they are brown and there's some dark spots on the stemware the leaves grow. She has a big window 120cm * 210cm, but it is facing the north. We water her almost daily, about a cup of water. The pot has drainage holes. Soil I think it's just regular house plant spoil with perlite. What's happening to her?

Banana plant - can it still be saved

I got her a couple of weeks ago and she was looking happy for a while. Then I was away and my boyfriend took over the care for her, and doesn't know what he did wrong. Do you guys have any idea?
