Off to my editor!!
Hey all, I'm a long time viewer, but this is my first time posting! Over the last few months I've joined up a few writing subreddits to sponge up all sorts of info on how to make my crazy ramblings into a solidified story, and I'm happy to say it's finally completed as a rough draft/manuscript and off to my proof reader!
Some of the books I researched while writing about Appalachian monster lore!!
I'm excited to say that I've learned a bit about motivating one's self, setting goals, and story building just from reading threads in this group and others. I'm nervous, excited, and a bit dreadful of what to expect once I get my manuscript back, but overall I'm just happy I put something together like this! My book is roughly 76k words, featuring a story about three friends that rent a cabin in the woods to escape the reality of life. Lots of drugs, cryptids, and dimensional rifting shenanigans ensue. :) I even hired an audiobook reader!
I believe I'm going the self publishing route after a long phone call with a publisher. He even encouraged me to purchase an LLC for the book release. Since I am looking to continue writing (Already 4 chapters into my next book!) he said to just buy 10 ISBN numbers at a time. (Saves a ton of $$) As I'll need 4 just for this one book (Hard cover, soft, eBook, and audiobook)
My book is called - '3 Men & A Mountain' and I'll have more details when it releases! Thanks for listening!!
