Hi everyone, I’m currently overseas in India but I’m enrolled at an Australian university.

I’m trying to find out whether I can legally have a video consultation with an Australian GP/medical practitioner while I’m physically outside Australia, and whether an Australian doctor can provide a medical certificate/documentation based on that consultation.

My university requires medical documentation from an Australian/Ahpra-registered practitioner for Special Consideration, and I recently underwent surgery and have all supporting documentation for it from
my practitioner in India.

If yes, please suggest which telehealth platform to use 🙏🙏

Has everyone received their results for deferred exams yet? (Especially FIT 🫩) Should i be worried if i still havent received mine?

I just finished a Monash off-campus eExam and I’m stressing a bit. At one point I accidentally switched tabs for literally about a second before immediately clicking back into the exam. It wasn’t intentional and I didn’t look anything up. Also, during the exam I kept looking down at my calculator and my working sheets. It was a maths-based exam, so I did all my calculations on paper first and then typed my final answers into the exam. Typing every single calculation directly into the exam seemed really impractical.

Has anyone had something similar happen? Were you contacted afterwards or was everything fine?

if i defer my online deferred exam when will it be scheduled to?

are FIT2090 weekly quizzes conducted online or in-person? is there anything else somebody can tell me about this unit?

What are these two units like? are they WAM boosters or killers? would it be okay to do them in the same semester if i’m also doing FIT1049 (IT Prof Prac) and FIT1051(Prog Fundamentals In Java). Any kind of feedback would be appreciated.

II’m applying for special consideration for an assignment extension through a video consultation I had with a doctor in India (I was unwell with cold/flu symptoms), and I’ve been given a medical certificate stating I was unfit to complete my assessment during the required period.

Has anyone had experience submitting an overseas medical certificate (not AHPRA-registered doctor) for Monash special consideration? Was it accepted or will they ask for an Australian doctor/extra documentation?

hypothetically, lets say i haven’t watched a single seminar or attended an applied class all semester, how would one start studying for the exam and still manage to procure a good mark🫩 also, how similar is the final exam to the sample exam? any advice appreciated.

Could anyone send practice test solutions for T1 FIT1045, if that’s alright? I’m really falling behind in this unit due to some personal issues and would appreciate any help or advice on how to pass the test. Thank you😭

I’m applying for spec con and I wanted to check if my documents are enough and whether my request is likely to get approved.

I was staying with a family friend and was suddenly asked to leave due to conflicts. Since then, I’ve been in between places (staying temporarily at a hotel and also moving between friends’ houses), which has made it really hard for me to attend campus and complete my assignment.

For evidence, I’m planning to submit:

Hotel booking confirmation

Messages showing I was asked to vacate

I just wanted to ask: Is this kind of evidence usually enough for Special Consideration of 3 days? + i’ve already used a short extension for 2 days.

Any advice would really help. Thank you.

Is there a deadline to discuss tasks in FIT1045??? if i’ve gotten my tasks on discuss after receiving feedback before the due dates but i haven’t discussed them in person with my tutor; is there a deadline for said discussion?? Please reply 🙏

Can everyone be honest— how far along are u with the portfolio tasks? 🥲 i feel like i’m falling behind and i need some reassurance if you’re just as far along or motivation if you’re way ahead. Have you completed/booked the test already?
