I'd done some tweaking to my CMMG-lower/FM9-upper Colt-pattern build. Finally got it running consistently .. EXCEPT it would misfeed with two rounds remaining. They were preban stick mags with the mag catch cut, and all three would do the same thing.

With two rounds remaining, one would feed and one would half eject. Tried with ten rounds in the mag, four rounds in, six rounds in ... always did the same thing with two rounds left.

Any suggestions? Mag lips? New springs? Feed ramp?

I've heard that this Scottish crew brings the party ... and my 12-piece rock & roll band sure likes to party!! So let's do this!

Wednesday night (6/17) 9pm-1am, Baker Thomas Band, at Toad McCarthy's in Porter Square, Cambridge. THERE'S NO COVER!!! It's rock & roll, baby ... guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, accordion, FIVE-PIECE HORN SECTION, flute, all the harmonies you could want. Mostly originals but we do like to throw in some covers, and we might take a request or two.

Amazing Training Days with Masada Slim

Just had two days up at Sig Academy and opted to run my Masada Slim Commander hard. Barricades, movement, steel plates. Awesome training. Humbling and affirming.

Over 700 rounds in 2 days. Zero malfunctions. Ran several different Masada and CZ75 mags. She was an absolute champ, 100% reliable, fast, accurate. When I did my job, clean plate runs.

Mine is fully kitted ... magwell, optic, threaded barrel, comp. Best striker I've ever run, and it's not even close. Splits are sub-.2, all 6-inch circle at 7y minimum. Probably picking up a bare-bones Slim Elite as my EDC to pair with the Commander as my duty gun.

And yes, my paint job shows a lot of wear. Good. She worked hard this week!!
