Looking for ride GP to Dawson Creek.

Hello! I am looking for anyone that will be travelling to Dawson Creek on the 23rd. I am happy to pay a bit to help with fuel. I have a course in Dawson and it doesn't seem like buses run there anymore. If I'm wrong about the buses, please advise me. Thank you to anyone that can help or offer advice. :)

EMR student seeking short term rental

Hello everyone! I am going to be taking an EMR course in Dawson from 24th of August until 11th of September. I would like to rent a room for the 23rd August until 12 September.

Unfortunately, I have been out of work for a little while and I can't afford the $3000+ that people are asking for the AirBnbs. I'm just looking for a temporary home where I can sleep, shower and study. Obviously, I'm happy to pay...I just can't afford 3 grand or more.

I don't drink, smoke, use drugs, etc. Just working hard to get out of a bad spot and looking for a little help. I'm prepared to camp if needed, but a bed and shower sounds far more inviting.

Thank you in advance to anyone that can help, but thank you to anyone that has taken time to read this and left an encouraging word as well. <3

My 2026 experience.

Hello everyone! My name is Ryan. I am not an official member of the media team, but I am about to come down the aisle and take your pictures in a minute. Since consent is both sexy and MANDATORY, I am going to need an enthusiastic "yes" before I take your picture.

Many of you heard that speech on the bus this year and many of you were happy to be photographed. To those people I say THANK YOU!!! I love that you were willing to let me capture you as we bounced around the farm together. To the people that said no, I want to say THANK YOU!!! I love that you spoke up for yourself. <3

Perhaps you didn't ride the bus, but you were photographed strutting your stuff down my red carpet. I want to say THANK YOU!!! It was a fun idea made magical by everyone that stepped on that carpet. You had better believe that the red carpet will be back next year too!

If you saw me wandering through the stages taking pictures (definitely not Fractal because I was yelled at for that last year) and were one of the amazing people that let me photograph you, that let me squeeze through to find the shots I wanted, or just put a helping hand on me to make sure that I didn't lose my balance, THANK YOU!!!

To everyone that had a photo session with me, THANK YOU!!! Before the festival I said that this year was an experiment to see what worked, what didn't, and how much to charge for next year. After the overwhelming generosity of the people I photographed I've determined that there's no need to charge money for something I enjoy doing anyway. Whether you gave me a hug and a thank you, you bought me a meal or a drink, you made me a trinket or you gave a bit of cash, everything you did made me feel appreciated and that means far more than a transaction ever could.

And I want to give a VERY special THANK YOU!!! to Stresshead. I took a chance by offering him free pictures during his set via his announcement post and he took a chance by agreeing to let me do it. Being allowed on stage was an incredible experience and I absolutely LOVED his set. To anyone that missed him, definitely look up Stresshead because I have no doubts he'll be back again and you don't want to miss him again.

Overall, this was BY FAR the best year (out of four) that I've had on the farm and I'm already looking forward to seeing all of you there next year.

Please keep an eye open next week for my posts here, on the Shambhala Facebook page, and on my personal Instagram as I sort through the 14k pictures I took this year.

I love you all! Thank you for the memories and never stop dancing!

Photography offered!

Hello everyone from your friendly, neighbourhood shuttlebus photographer!

I wanted to update things from my last post and possibly fill up some more of my schedule.

Flow artists, musical artists, general attendees, manatees disguised as planter boxes, three dwarfs in a trenchcoat, and anyone else looking to have their pictures taken send me a dm.

Any times not filled I will be set up downtown somewhere with my 20 foot red carpet to capture your best struts. Yes, you read that right. I bought a red carpet. I'M SO EXCITED!!!

I know that the big thing people worry about is payment. I'm not a professional photographer...just a hobbyist. I will accept big hugs, crisp high fives, buy me dinner, belly rubs and/or scratches behind the ears, REALLY big hugs, and bits of string or shiny things instead of payment!

I'll be sending out Google drive links sometime after the festival with pictures of people. Pictures of people on the bus, walking the red carpet (cause I have one), and at the stages will end up on my Instagram. There are 6 months of travel pictures blocking last year's Shambs, but you can scroll back if you really want. :D

And here's the schedule as it stands right now! Cut off ends at 7pm so I can hit the stages as well, but is open for change depending on circumstances.

How to name nouns?

As the title suggests, I don't know how to name people, places or things. I use placeholders such as *name* or *place*, but now that my 2 million words fantasy novel with the best world building IN HISTORY is complete, I am trying to revise it with proper names. Only issue is that I don't remember who is supposed to be talking! Should I have ChatGPT do it for me?
