So close to finishing my right ear’s stack!
I got my helix and conch done this week and am SO happy with how it looks! So obsessed with the cute jewelry! I’m thinking I’ll complete this ear with a forward helix, what do y’all think!?

Hello! I went to the dentist last week (Thursday 8/13) and had a few fillings, all bottom molars. One of them (the very back tooth) has been bothering me like crazy ever since. I originally thought it was just because the bite was off so I went back today to get it adjusted but it’s still really bothering me. The shape of the filling definitely still feels off and a little sharp (but the bite feels fine), and the gums around it are definitely irrated, but I feel like that does not constitute this level of pain. I’ve had to take ibuprofen/tylenol regularly to manage the pain.
I have never had this happen after a filling, and I have had MORE than my fair share of them (I easily have had over 30 fillings).
I’m wondering if this is a normal reaction to the bite being off or something else. Could it be an indicator of needing a root canal or is it too soon to know?
I really don’t want to have to go back for more dental work 😩 Any advice or ideas as to what could be going on is much appreciated!
Has anyone seen an increase in cavities since being on birth control, specifically birth control pills?
I have always struggled with cavities/dental health due to weak enamel and poor genetics but over the last year and a half or so it has been so much worse. I’m talking over a dozen cavities, losing fillings, and needing a root canal. The only connection I’ve noticed is that a year and a half or so ago is when I switched to only taking norethindrone and stopped taking a combined birth control pill. I originally thought it was linked to excision surgery in December 2024 but it feels like it’s been going on for too long to just be that.
I’ve read online that oral contraceptives and hormones can impact dental health and was wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue and how they solved it?
Thank you!!
