How it feels doing free solo and then going back to alpinist sized backpack

Question for those doing Free Solo

Do yall still try to hit every location/get every item, letter, etc? or do you just try to go in as straight a line as possible? Like, for example, do you still go to the rave cave AND cable car AND bear trackers campsite?

Searching for season 1 scripts

Hey all, been doing a full rewatch for the first time in a several years, and this time around I've gotten invested in reading the scripts for the episodes as well! I'm looking for scripts from season 1, I've found most of them, but am missing episodes 6 and 7. Does anyone have any links?

Also, for the pilot, is the only script available the one where it's Sheriff Dan Steadman and the Italian Josie?

Thanks for any help!

Why doesn't this sub have the rule for trades/sales needing a note w/username and date?

Just realized today that that isn't a rule in this sub, and it needs to be. Saw someone supposedly selling the Pennywise doll with no note w/username and date, and no price listed. This rule is important for preventing scams.

Help with Harley's hair

So I know her hair is a known thing, it comes with the braids superglued in and is a huge pain to get out. I very meticulously and over an entire evening used acetone qtips and a fine toothed metal comb to work the glue out. Then I washed/conditioned it and plan to do it a few more times. However, despite my best efforts I think the strands did get overworked and remain very frizzed/fried and puffed out. The rest of the hair is pretty good, aside from the ends being a little frizzy, these chunks are by far the worst parts.

I'm not against trimming it or cutting out those strands if I need to, but before that point I want to try as much as I can, and since I mostly have experience with saran hair, not nylon, which I know has some different qualities, I figured I'd ask here. I've seen suggestions of fabric softener, leaving conditioner in for several hours, and that certain properties of products work best with nylon. So does anyone have an experience/suggestions for this?

Lol. Lmao.

I'll say its a meme I guess, bc I DID laugh when I got the email.

"We value your contribution" Sure, Jan. 😂

I didn't even want the doll, this was just the first skullector I was in fang club for and was upset on principle, so I left a review and assumed they just auto deleted it or something. Didn't realize they have some poor worker vetting every review, lol

REFERENCE PHOTOS: inside of a g3 torso

Had a spare clawdeen torso lying around with a loose/broken top socket, so I salvaged the rest of the body for parts, but decided to cut open this one to see what the inside looked like for customs purposes. I thought others might be curious as well.

WARNING: doing this completely messed up the outer layer of the torso. The cutting pliers I used totally shredded the soft plastic of the skin where I used them. I wasn't trying to be particularly careful as I had no intention of putting it back together and using. I don't know if this is something that can be done in a way that doesn't damage the outside!

Conjuring skullector??? 🤨👻

Was trying to uncurl Cupid's bangs a bit, so I wrapped her wet head in a paper towel and am using a hair tie to try to get her bangs to lay more flat. Threw her on the chair to dry and then started giggling when I realized what she reminded me of 😂

Don't fall for fabricated FOMO. You don't have to.

I'm not buying a doll they won't show me a picture or price of, that likely has ai on the box. And you don't have to either.

I don't care if this is how they've always done it, it's stupid and I've elected to ignore it.

If it's your fav movie or whatever then go wild. But stop and check whether you're getting it bc you really want it or bc you think you "need" it for your collection. If it's the latter then just realize every time one of us does that we just encourage them to do it again. Let the scalpers fight each other for it.

EDIT: yes, they released the pic of the doll. My point still stands. Just make sure that you are buying a doll bc you actually want it and/or it means something to you and not just bc you want to collect it. This applies to the more "standardly cute" dolls as well, not just the niche ones.

If we're gonna be doing 90s tv shows

I would literally perish.

I've mostly gotten g3 dolls, and prefer them overall to older ones (nothing wrong with them I just enjoy how g3 feel to hold and pose much more). I don't have much interest in collecting too many g1s, but there are a couple I still really wanted just for the unique design, and Isi was one of them! I finally managed to get her and she's so lovely! I know its just the specific handful of g1s I've gotten before, but their hair has always been very underwhelming in terms of brushability compared to my g3 ones which are fun to brush and play with, but Isi's hair is much closer to that and I love it!

I managed to snag a g3 Skelita from Walmart online (they had her in small quantities off and on in April) and was thinking of getting another later on when she was more widely available for a custom idea I had for the torso. So I looked at her body to see if I could switch out her legs and they don't come off the same way the normal g3 legs do, the lower legs pop out easily like the forearms do, and the hips appear to be attached like the upper arms are (i.e. you can't really take them off without breaking them)

Anyways, I thought I'd share it with others who might also be considering customs using Skelita!
