i just got gabriella icely and her second outfit shoes have those annoying tight ankle support (the ring that goes around the ankle). i saw a tiktok about how to put these types of shoes on because if you do it normally and force it, her shoes will rip. anyone have some advice getting these bad boys on?

Seriously, who ships a doll by slapping a sticker on the doll window and calling it a day? Putting it in a shipping bag is bad enough because it still gets banged up. I don’t think I had the option for shipping in the items own packaging selected either. Ugh. I was planning on taking her out anyway, but this makes me irrationally angry.

Edit: Thank you for all the comments!! I ultimately swapped her onto a Cheer Jade body and I feel like the match is nearly perfect. I feel so much better now!

I got my Vivienne yesterday yay!! I immediately went to work washing her hair and preparing for a rebody.

Weirdly enough, the blue and green streaks that might be poly don't really look or feel like poly? (At least when wet) The sheen and texture look so similar to the red nylon, but at the same time it's behaviour is definitely pointing to it being poly. Washing nylon hair that is a little unruly definitely tames it, but I found the green and blue plugs even from the scalp sat differently and didn't really want to cooperate. Having had many G3 monster high dolls in the past, I knew what to expect with how poly looks and feels, but this seems a little different. I'm sure it's just treated poly (or that new low quality nylon I've seen people talk about that seems to just be "better" poly) but I can't help holding out hope for those alleged batches that had full nylon. I'm sure once I go check her out today since her hair will be fully dry I'll be able to tell what her hair type is.

What I need help with is opinions on the skintone match I chose, and suggestions if there are better matches. I chose Sheryl and I'm worried the undertones don't align. Sheryl clearly has a yellower undertone (which I should've known) and I probably should've waited to compare and choose a body donor under the bright direct light instead of a 9pm setting sun.

Based on what few rebodied Vivienne's I've seen on here, it looks like a Ruby/Jade/Violet/Amaya could be good matches. I wonder if Vivienne even HAS a seamless match? Or if she has a unique skintone like Whitney?

Ultimately I am one of those people who will be constantly bothered by a noticeable difference in skintone, so if I or others feel like it needs to be changed I will go through the trouble of another head swap. I really don't want to, as heating up and swapping heads over and over doesn't seem like it would be good for the vinyl long term. I would love for Sheryl's body to be a perfect match but I'm worried it's just not😭

Please please share your thoughts if you feel comfortable, I can't figure out if I should do another swap with someone else😭

Hi! i have 100+ monster high dolls and want to get into collecting shadow high (maybe some rainbow high) to have a small collection of those but and atm i have these 2 who obviously aren’t articulates and was wondering if its like in the monster high community where g2 is considered less good and valid to collect as they aren’t articulated
i think they’re rlly pretty and i have one on the way thats screenshotted on vinted, the ones i have are on the argos screenshot
also does anyone have any suggestion on affordable shadow high dolls:)
