What yall think about homeschool?
For my junior year, I’m thinking about doing homeschool and possibly graduating through it. Of course, there are both positives and negatives to homeschooling.
One of my biggest concerns is the social aspect. I know homeschooling can sometimes feel lonely, and that’s something I’m worried about. However, the homeschool program I’m considering still allows students to attend prom, participate in sports, and join extracurricular activities.
Another major benefit is that they offer a program where I can graduate while earning an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree within two years. I also plan to work during the school year to help pay off my car, save money for a house or apartment, and contribute toward college tuition.
I still have doubts because I know I would miss out on some traditional high school experiences and memories. At the same time, from a career and financial standpoint, homeschooling seems like a smart choice. I’m trying to figure out whether the opportunities it provides outweigh the experiences I might miss.
