Disable nvidia dgpu via BIOS editing on Dell Precision 5540
* hello, I have a Dell Precision 5540 i5 with T1000 nvidia gpu someone gave me for free. My Bios version is 1.42.
- I want to disable nvidia dgpu via BIOS editing, for for science and power saving.
- I dont need the dgpu. It is consuming power and making my laptop hot... FYI I already put PTM7950 on GPU and CPU, and did a deep cleaning.
can anyone here help with that. I can dump my bios and upload it.
- Another option would be to disable it via ModGrubShell command, I think that will do.
- I have it disabled on the hackintosh, while running mac the laptop is super cool, but on windows its hot just on idle.
