What do you guys think about this Ahri guide?

https://www.skill-capped.com/lol/guides/builds/ahri/mid/kluqi0y

It recommends Deathfire + Blackfire Torch + Ionian + Cosmic Drive as the main setup, with Malignance + Ionian + Rocketbelt as the more aggressive option.

I've been trying both and honestly I'm not sure which one I should be sticking with.

Do you guys agree with the guide's setup? Is Blackfire/Cosmic actually better as the default, or do you prefer the Malignance build?

teleport or flash?

Assuming im always taking ignite, i feel like tp is way more useful late game when a fight breaks out on the other side of the map when im shoving side lanes

Did some math with Gemini on Early Game Harassment: Electrocute vs. DFT + Scorch (Auto-W-Auto Combo)

Hey everyone,

I was curious about the exact math behind Ahri’s early game trading power, so I asked Gemini to crunch the numbers. It compared a standard Electrocute page against a poke-heavy Deathfire Touch + Scorch setup to see which one actually packs a bigger punch.

To keep variables low, it isolated the calculations strictly to a standard Auto-W-Auto trade at levels 1, 2, and 3. The math assumes a standard starter layout: roughly 18 AP (adaptive shards) at levels 1-2, and 28 AP at level 3 (adding Doran’s Ring).

The Baseline Math (Rank 1 W)

When you hit a single target with all three Fox-Fire flames, subsequent hits deal 30% damage. Gemini pulled the exact scaling for us:

  • Base Damage: 45 + 13.5 + 13.5 = 72
  • AP Scaling: 30% + 9% + 9% = 48% AP

The Rune Breakdown

  1. Electrocute: 30 to 180 (lvl scaling) + 25% AP. Procs instantly off the Auto-W-Auto. Cooldown: ~25-20s.
  2. DFT + Scorch: Scorch gives 20 to 40 (lvl scaling) on a 10s cooldown. DFT adds 8 + 25% AP over 4 seconds (Fox-Fire triggers the full single-target duration). DFT has no cooldown.

The Numbers (Pre-mitigation)

  • Level 1 (18 AP):
    • Base Combo (2 Autos + W): 186.6
    • Electrocute Setup: 34.5 rune dmg | 221.1 Total
    • DFT + Scorch Setup: 32.5 rune dmg | 219.1 Total
    • Difference: Electrocute wins by 2.0 dmg.
  • Level 2 (18 AP):
    • Base Combo: 191.6
    • Electrocute Setup: 43.3 rune dmg | 235.0 Total
    • DFT + Scorch Setup: 33.7 rune dmg | 225.3 Total
    • Difference: Electrocute wins by 9.6 dmg.
  • Level 3 (28 AP):
    • Base Combo: 201.4
    • Electrocute Setup: 54.6 rune dmg | 256.1 Total
    • DFT + Scorch Setup: 37.4 rune dmg | 238.8 Total
    • Difference: Electrocute wins by 17.3 dmg.

Burst vs. Attrition: The Takeaway

Looking strictly at a single, isolated trade, Electrocute outscales the dot/poke setup early on, especially as you hit level 3 and grab extra AP. It gives way higher kill pressure if you manage to land a charm.

However, the math flips completely based on trade frequency. Because Scorch is on a 10s cooldown and DFT has zero cooldown, trading twice in a 20-second window means the poke setup pulls ahead by around 15-20 total damage compared to a single Electrocute proc.

What are your thoughts? Do you prefer the reliable burst security of Electrocute for all-ins, or do you think the relentless poke pressure from DFT + Scorch is worth trading away that burst window—especially in matchups where you can safely abuse Auto-W spacing?

MF Main (330k mastery, lvl 33) — ADC feels like it has no agency, should I switch to mid?

Hey everyone,

I've been a Miss Fortune main for a while now. I'm level 33 with 330k mastery points on her. I really enjoy playing MF, but I'm starting to feel frustrated with the ADC role.

A lot of my games feel like they snowball completely out of my control — whether it's a bad support, jungle difference, or the enemy team collapsing on bot. I often feel like I have very little agency compared to other roles, even when I play well in lane.

I'm considering switching to mid lane, but I'm not sure if it's the right move. Has anyone else made the switch from ADC to mid?

  • Is mid more fun and gives more agency at lower levels?
  • Any tips for someone transitioning?
  • Should I play MF mid sometimes, or learn completely new champions?
  • Or should I stick with ADC and just learn better positioning/macro?

Any advice would be really appreciated! Thanks in advance 😊
