Hi there

I am on day 4 of my first dose and struggling to eat. It's suppressed my hunger and appetite and cravings more than I could imagine. However I make food and realised I must of used to scoff down my food. I am struggling to get calories in as I get immediately full.

Today I must myself a big protein smoothie so I can something but I dont know how to eat anymore

I just meet the BMI eligibility criteria, as my current BMI is 31. I also have a strong family history of obesity and related health complications. My sister has experienced fertility issues and gallbladder problems associated with her obesity, and I am concerned about developing similar health issues in the future.

I have struggled with persistent “food noise” for several years, which makes managing my eating habits and weight particularly difficult. I am keen to address this proactively rather than allowing my weight and associated health risks to continue increasing.

I am currently 20 years old, so I am unsure whether my age would affect my eligibility or suitability for treatment. I would appreciate an assessment based on my individual circumstances.

For additional context, I am financially independent, work in a high-income role, and live with my partner. I understand that I am young, but I feel that my circumstances and concerns around my weight are genuine.

Would I be approved and if so, what's the first step? Talking to my GP?
