Bible vs Science on age of the earth

I previously posted this and sadly most of you “Christians” think the bible does not state the age of the earth.. well

Genesis - In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth… he rested on the 7th day.

2 Peter 3:8 - But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years

So basic math says 6,000 years to create it all 1,000 years of resting, plus the time since. So roughly 10,000 years old.

Science says 4.5 billion years. With a margin of error of only 50 million.

So even if science is off by 4 billion years. It’s still not even close.

So what’s the thought here.

Science be bible age of the earth.

What is the consensus on the bible saying earth is 7,000 - 10,000 years old vs science saying it’s 4.5 billion years old.

Even if science is off by 1 billion years it’s not even a close number.

This is one contradiction I have a hard time over.

What is the thought here?

Christianity demands worship for heaven.

My only concern with universal Christianity is that if you don’t worship him you are less. I can live a perfectly just life, do everything he would have wanted from man, but if I don’t worship him then I am less worthy.

If a world full of mass illusions how can a God expect us to operate above our human limits and see past illusions that our eyes, and mind can’t comprehend or keep up with?

The one who lacks ethics the most is the most likely to prevail on Earth.

With no account for after life belief, here on earth we see wealth accumulation, disease and extreme poverty but choose to do little to nothing about it.

Perception is reality, no matter the truth if someone believes a false reality it’s nearly impossible to convince them otherwise unless they are willing to let go of years of belief. (Sunk cost fallacy)

So the one best at manipulating, and deceiving will always win.

Even if I am good it does no good if no one believes I am.

Just as it doesn’t matter if you are evil as long as no one believes you are.

Or at least enough to inspire a following.

Why else are we still waging wars, hoarding resources, and mass manipulating societies for the minority of humanity when we have the technology and knowledge we do today?

Is there an ethical depopulation?

I think we can all agree if humans keep on the same path we will use all available resources and need more renewable resources than we can produce and ship.

Other than insane technology advances and searching for a new planet or ways to not need the resources we use what are our options.

Either become religious with a belief someone is going to save us all

Or

Put everything we have into technology advances and hope for the best?

Any book recommendations or thoughts are welcome!!

Best methods for flies outside?

I love sitting outside and reading, while having coffee. Past few days too many flys and mosquitos to sit comfortably.

Need DIY liquid mixture for my bottle trap. Thank you!!
