Cracked teeth due to bruxism .. looking for support

I’m 31F and my dentist recently told me that I cracked all my molars. Already had a crown put in for one and TBD on the others…

I have an appointment to see an oral maxillary specialist in late August to do emface treatment and make me a new custom night-guard.

How have you managed with your tooth health? Crowns, root canals, extractions?

I’m still so devastated and upset by this since I do my best to take such good care of my teeth. Currently in quite a bit of pain as well.

TLDR: Just looking for support and experience with cracked teeth from bruxism.

*UPDATE*

I met with a bruxism and TMJ focused dentist; after some scans and tests she said I have a recessed jaw and “bad bite” (I have a slight overbite) that is likely the cause of my bruxism. This is the result of horrible orthodontics and dental work (4 extracted premolars) from when I was a teenager, which is exactly when my bruxism started.

She gave me a temporary mouthguard which I wore and I already feel 1000 times better. Will continue to work with her and a TMJ-focused physiotherapist.

Thank you everyone who shared your feedback! I don’t feel alone anymore and I’ve taken all your solutions into consideration!!!!

All my molars are cracked. What’s next?

So I’ve been grinding my teeth since I was a teenager .

Last month, I noticed periodic pain in my upper molars (both sides). It was a “coming and going”type of pain. My dentist did the bite test on my last upper left molar and I literally screamed in the chair. Fast forward to today and I just got my permanent crown put in for that same tooth.

However the problem is that the dull pain is still persisting AND on both upper sides. Same thing it comes and goes but it’s pretty painful.

My dentist shined a blue light over my teeth and said verbatim “to my quite honest all your molars are cracked”.

When I asked what’s next, he didn’t really give me a clear treatment plan.

I already have an appointment booked with another dentist because I’m feeling quite frustrated with the lack of worry or concern from mine, but my questions are:

  1. How long can I or should I go before getting a crown or root canals on remaining molars — are there any other treatments I can do instead?
  2. How long does it usually take for the pain to relieve once getting the crown? I know it’s not instant but how long should I give it before knowing “ok this didn’t work”.
  3. Should I forgot about the crowns and root canals all-together and just consider implants for all molars?

More background info:
- 31F
- attending myotherapy soon to help with grinding
- I have a custom mouth guard (bottom only) that I wear every single night without fail… clearly my teeth weren’t protected. He adjusted it after putting the perm crown today, but it’s putting more pressure on my right side now.

Update / Question about Application Timeline

I applied to this program back in January, completed the interview, and submitted all required documents. They mentioned applicants would hear back within 2–3 months.

It’s now the end of April, so we’re past that window, and I still haven’t received any updates.

Has anyone here had experience with this program’s admissions process? Have you heard back recently (accepted, rejected, or waitlisted)?

I’ve already tried reaching out via email but haven’t gotten a response, so I’m just trying to get a sense of what’s going on. Any insight would be appreciated!
