I just bought a house in the Netherlands, which was built in 1987, and I don't have grounding in my house at all. My panel also looks extremely old. Additionally, I have solar panels too.
My question is, how dangerous is this installation and the fact that grounding is missing?
We’re planning to replace our old electrical panel (the one with the old porcelain fuses/switches) with a modern one and also add grounding to the house, since we currently don’t have any grounding at all.
Does anyone know what a reasonable price range would be for this kind of work in the Netherlands?
We received one quote for “minimum €5000,” which feels quite high to me — although I’m definitely not an expert, so maybe it’s normal. I’d just like to compare a bit before making a decision.
I also recently downloaded the Werkspot.nl app to look for more quotes, but I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences or opinions as well!

I live in the Netherlands and I started investing 2 years ago when I was 27. My goal is to invest long term (20+ years). Currently, my portfolio is 15k euros.
I invest €600 monthly in the following:
- IWDA - €360
- MEUD - €150
- EIMI - €60
- Alphabet/Nvidia - €15/€15 (every 6 months to avoid fees)
Is this a good strategy? Do you have any advice for a beginner?
