Can't adjust brightness

In the last couple weeks, probably due to some vision problems worsening, the game's excessive brightness has been somewhat bothering me. The rest of my apps' brightness I'm okay with (dark mode).

However, the brightness setting in game doesn't seem to work for me at all. Whether I make it min or max, it makes no difference when I press OK and the bar just goes back to the middle. Bloom is already off. Is the brightness option broken for everyone or is it just me? Is there some external configuration I have to change to adjust brightness? Any help would be appreciated.~

(GC: Intel UHD Graphics + NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060).

Automatic successes and Shed a Light/Exploit Weakness

I've got a somewhat tricky question. The rules regarding automatic failure/success, such as when discarding Hope/Augur/Zeal (Miss Doyle's cats) or using Toe to Toe, specify that:

"If a skill test automatically succeeds, the total difficulty of that test is considered 0. (...) However, the skill test still takes place. Cards may still be committed to the test, and the investigator’s total modified skill value is still determined, as it may have some bearing on other card abilities."

Would that mean that doing so would meet the requirements to use Shed a Light/Exploit Weakness? The test is known to auto-succeed from the beginning, therefore I assume it's difficulty is set to zero right from the start, before ST.3 (Reveal chaos token) is even performed or skipped, somewhat meeting the requirements ("Play before revealing a chaos token during an attack or evasion/investigation attempt you are performing, and only if the difficulty of this test is currently 0") in a twisted way.

I don't see these exactly as game-breaking, but would definitely be a cool interaction. Have we ever had an official response about this kind of ruling?
